That was a much more enjoyable viewing experience for the mythical neutral fan than the first game.

I reckon 100 point wins do nothing for the winners or losers. It creates bad habits. It's not good for your form.

Cats were smashed. Dees didnt get their dominance on the score board. Left the door open until mid 4th Q.

I reckon WCE are a bit like the Cats. Good home ground advantage. An ok midfield and decent talls at each end. But the midfield is open to get dominated by deeper midfields.

Happy for the favs are winning. There is generally at least one upset week 1. Hope its us.

I was at the G' tonight and Melbourne dominated. Should have won by 10 goals in the end.

Geelong are overrated and were lucky to be in the finals to begin with.

As far as our prospects go, I think the results haven't gone our way. On those performances we would account for the hawks and cats quite comfortably. Their older stars are too slow and generally past it. I'm hoping Sydney win today but don't think they will

Yes I see your point but hindsight does blur it. IF Cats had've won, we could've been saying we wish Demons had won because they are suspect - so never going to be happy with the result either way. For me I was happy to see either team eliminated as I saw both of them as having the potential to get on a roll. In hindsight though, it was just Chris Scott trying to convince his players they could win the whole thing.
I too hope Sydney win today. If we happen to win tonight I'd be hoping the hawks win next week, as Melbourne is going to have the wave of emotion behind them this year.

Apart from 2011 when they won the flag, Chris Scott's finals record (3-9) is very poor yet it hasn't received a lot of attention from the media.

To make matters worse for the Cats, they just re-signed him recently until the end of 2022.

2012 Elimination Final = Geelong 80-96 Fremantle
2013 Qualifying Final = Geelong 72-87 Fremantle
2013 Semi Final = Geelong 96-80 Port Adelaide
2013 Preliminary Final = Hawthorn 102-97 Geelong
2014 Qualifying Final = Hawthorn 104-68 Geelong
2014 Semi Final = Geelong 92-98 North Melbourne
2016 Qualifying Final = Geelong 85-83 Hawthorn
2016 Preliminary Final = Geelong 60-97 Sydney
2017 Qualifying Final = Geelong 40-91 Richmond
2017 Semi Final = Geelong 98-39 Sydney
2017 Preliminary Final = Adelaide 136-75 Geelong
2018 Elimination Final = Melbourne 75-46 Geelong

On the other hand, at least he's had his team in the finals often enough for them to have a bad record.

Yeah, at least they've been in the Finals.
Can't win anything from outside the 8!

Only because they kept topping up with good ordinary players year after year, rather than relying heavily on the draft to build their next premiership team around.

Being stranded in the middle of the ladder for years only hurts your long-term future. I'd rather be in our position now despite a few tough years we've endured.
