Looking forward to tonight's game, I hope both teams knock the absolute crap out of each other! Bizarre move by Hawks going in with McEvoy and Ceglar considering they also have Roughead and Schoenmakers. That's going in tall at the best of times. Against the tigers, in the wet, it's almost suicide. Maybe Clarko thinks they can hold on to the footy and win it in the air? They wouldn't want to miss too many targets or drop marks 'cos tigers will carve them up with their, rebound, spread and carry. I think it's great that one of these teams will lose :D

Hope Sicily doesn't let us down!

I'm not sure of the significance of the game result. If the Tiggers lose, they play at the MCG again next week, right? They can't be budged from the G. This is a serious threat to fairness. You can say qualifying higher means you deserve advantages, but they qualified higher only because they won so many MCG games to counteract their 20% interstate winning record (which was saved from being 0% only because GC is a basket case).

Ceglar doing okay. Hawks doing okay.
Umpires finally paying a few holding-the-ball frees against Tigers, after Shorten got away with one.
Lots of hacked kicks off the ground.
No injuries yet, unfortunately.

Our boys are not the only stupid ones. Shorten was just standing there behind his teammate for the handball and flying shot at goal, and no one did anything. (Just a behind, though.)

It would help the Hawks if they converted set shots from just outside the goalsquare.

Never have I seen two astonishingly reliable footballers like bruest and burgoyne miss from dead in front. Dont even think it was nerves. Astonishing.
Memories of T Cloke came flooding back hard.

The two teams seem to be intent on dirty acts just below the level of reportable offences, too. More creative than their football acts.

Is there a glimmer of hope for football justice, or is this just teasing?
