Sam Edmund reporting on SEN today that we are in the mix (along with some other clubs) for Harry Perryman.
I can't say I've paid much attention to when he plays lol

I'd heed Chris de Burgh's warning -
Don't pay the Perryman
Until he gets you to the other side

Well that'll be Perryman off the table for us then. And with Stringer also gone, who will be the next player we're linked to? (Wonder where Stringer will end up?).

7 years for Perryman seems like a big ticket. Maybe he's a better prospect than I thought or alternatively you have to pay a 30% premium to pry these guys out of their existing roles. If that's the case, what is Houston going to cost? I suppose the difference is he potentially wants out so he can return to Melb/Vic.
It's never as good/nor bad as it seems...

^@WaggaPie As a former Wagga Wagga lad myself, Perryman (Pick #14 2016 National Draft) + Kennedy (Pick #13 2015 National Draft by GWS Giants) would please me.
For the uninitiated, both played in back-to-back flags with the Collingullie (town outside of Wagga Wagga) Demons in 2014 and 2015. The premierships were particularly significant for the Perryman and Kennedy families.
“I played with my three older brothers and also Harry and his older brother so that was special to be a part of,” Kennedy said.
When all six of the boys were on the field, they made up a third of the team.
“I love playing alongside Matty. It just brings memories back of being at the Gullie so it’s always good playing alongside him.” Perryman said.

If they get to the Pies, Collingullie will be renamed Collingwood.

If we get Perryman, he could form a partnership with Mason Cox and be known as Perry Mason.

Looking at Perryman's stats, seems like a purely defensive player, not great in the air, above avg tackler, above avg 1v1, statistically a taller version of IQ. Not really seeing the attraction tbh.

Ah, further digging. Looks like we're promising him a midfield role, and looking at previous seasons he's performed pretty well. Only 25. Yeah worth the punt.

Yeah, hearing we're all over Perryman and he is warming to the Pies too. As a UFA, we may not have to trade. And that's what we need.

So Perryman could be a Pie in just 10-15 days. Unreal to think.

Here's an up to date list of uncontracted players: https://www.footywire.com/afl/footy/out ... ct_players

Perryman lacks the height to play that role imho
Sorry I wasn’t referring to Perryman, unfortunate post order. Just the trade in general, we really need a backman to let Moore do what he does best
