The League Cup Semi Final matches are now completed as Chelsea and Liverpool have advanced to the 2022 League Cup Final.

Chelsea will be looking to add more silverware to the collection under Thomas Tuchel having won the Champions League and UEFA Super Cup him.

Liverpool will be looking for their first silverware under Jurgen Klopp since famously winning the Premier League in 2020.

Chelsea last made the League Cup Final in 2019 losing to Manchester City on penalties. In contrast, Liverpool last made the League Cup Final in 2016, losing to Manchester City as well.

Both clubs have a history of League Cup success with Liverpool winning the competition 8 times, with their last trophy occurring in 2012. Chelsea last won the competition in 2015 under Jose Mourinho when they defeated Tottenham Hotspur 2-0.

Chelsea and Liverpool have also met in a League Cup final, which occurred in 2005 when Chelsea won 3-2 in extra time.
