MY THOUGHTS:
The now annual ANZAC VFL clash sees Collingwood travel away to the deep salty hills of Melbourne. Their fans rave about Draper as an up and coming young ruck and the future after Bellchambers, so it will be great to see him and Lynch go head to head. Adding to the intrigue the two were taken at opposite ends of the 2016 rookie draft (Draper pick ASADA, Lynch pick 51 being the third last selection).

While it was pleasing to see we came out strong last week after a horror show in R2 ultimately we were unable to come away with the points in disappointing loss. It leaves us in a precarious position.

After a close first half we had a comfortable win (106-78) at our spiritual home in the corresponding fixture last year, however the less said about 2017 the better - it was a disaster (118-38). It will be a difficult game against an unbeaten opposition who have had two big wins to kick off their year (121 points vs Frankston; 94 points vs NM), but it's one we must win even at this early stage of the season.

In addition to the above while I'm going to the match I'm catching up with people, so I won't be able to post goal by goal commentary this week.

Whatever you can contribute Barrackers is appreciated. For some reason it is not on Thai TV.

Used to hate going there. When I was about 13 i was walking past the pub on the way to the station and some Essendon mongrel jumped out of the window and kicked me in the head. Fortunately for me a group of Pies supporters were just behind me and knew us from the Yarra falls end at Victoria Park and grabbed the prick and slammed him into a pole. His mates didn't want to get involved and when this thug got up he wanted the Police but not when I pointed out so did I. One of the boys then threw him into a parked car. And we continued to the train station.
Annoying opposition supporters since 1967.

Has Tohill shrunk?

Last year he was listed at 198cm in various publications but the CFC website has him at 191.

The players are lined up for the ceremony at Windy Hill. They're doing the full Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy thing again today.

And, in time-honoured fashion, the bugler has fluffed the fist arpeggio in the second line. No need for us to be embarrassed - he's wearing Essendon regalia.
