EFL Div 4

I haven't had much to be positive about in the past five years as I have watch the Rams head down divisions. Bottomed out in Div 4 I thought the Club would fold. Rams have blooded a lot of players at various levels and as they headed down the divisions money to match everyone else was harder. Come this year we had many players depart and basically needed a full team. In comes some past Champions of the Club to help out. Recruits coming back are ex players to help out as well as others who wanted a challenge. Practice matches showed some good signs and I wasn't getting carried away but I was happy that many are on the field for the club not the dollars. I ventured to Ram Stadium to watch them take on Coldstream (Finished 4th 2017). A very tough game and we looked the better side all day and ran out victors. All of the old supporters could finally smile. Some had tears as we finally won a game after 2 years. Gileno comes back to the club and kicks 8. It's only one game and I am not getting excited I am just happy with what I am seeing as it's been terrible the last few years. Made the news http://www.heraldsun.com.au/leader/loca ... f3d1090e18 More people at the club Saturday than has been at the past few years. Here's a clip of the player rooms after the game. https://youtu.be/cVQ1qwsrKLI I hope this is just the start of a good year. Fingers crossed.

7 in a Row and 2 games clear on top of the ladder. Fielded our worst team of the year with injuries and a wedding and got the four points. Held Goalless in the 3rd qtr. Lost a key midfielder with a broken ankle.

My own thread is going well. 8 in a row. Kept the opposition to one goal after half time whilst kicking 10. We are physically smashing the opposition, they simply gave up today. Next week is the test, whoever wins will be flag favorites.

Went down to Whitehorse Pioneers. They are the team to beat. Now a bye so we reload for the second half. Will take 8-1 into the second part of the season.

No bench after half time and the Rams hung on to a 1 point win. Coldstream kicked a goal after the final siren. To hold them at bay for 15 minutes in the last qtr was a tough effort.

The injury curse is killing us. 1st played 2nd and now East Burwood are 2nd after going down by 5 goals. A few players start to come back in the next few weeks.
