Ben Cousins not eligible for parole this month after positive drug test

Fallen former football star Ben Cousins will not be eligible for release from prison at the end of this month, after failing a drug test.

The former Brownlow Medallist was jailed for 12 months in March for stalking his former partner and drug possession. But Cousins was eligible for parole at the end of this month, taking into account time he had already served

Cosins never learnt because he was treated like a god in WA and every second hero was happy to give him drugs to ingratiate themselves. The same has probably happened here. In a few years time his Brownlow will be on sale in a pawn shop somewhere.

Good on Jobe for realising drugtaking cheats dont deserve it. Raelene boyle should be a gold medal olympian, but GDR drug cheats distort history.
