I know it's not a good look but is there actually a rule against office romances?
I mean, when Gill said "I'm morally outraged and you two have to resign" could they have said "no".

In our business there is if the two are in the same reporting line, or one reports to another.

There is a choice - romance or employment.

From a managerial viewpoint "Screw your staff - screw your business"

I have seen so many business and individuals compromised due to this behaviour. Best to keep you business and personal life poles apart.

I am sure these individuals knew this but thought that they could defy logic. Ain't gonna happen.

The deserve what they get.

At least the women have been named also.

Equality. This is it.

Personally I find the whole thing slightly ridiculous that consenting adults are treated in this manner for having a fling or relationship in the workplace.

You say that but what if you were on the same level in a company to one of the individuals and you both reported to the other party involved in the relationship,

If a new higher paid role came up the manger gave this to their lover you would be miffed and would potentially put it down to their relationship. If it went the other way it could upset their personal relationship and as a result this could have an effect on relationships within the office.

It it had enough getting everyone on the same page and it would be much more difficult when you have skin the game. It doesn't take a lot for an office environment to turn toxic. You are employed to do a job. Do it professionally.

All you talking about 'equality' and 'it takes two to tango' and all that rubbish really do need to take a good hard look at yourselves and your moral and ethical fibres.

Position of power, authority, age...they had to go and go immediately. Gil should follow them.

Integrity? Respectful to women? The AFL is just another bogan org. run by boos heads who can't keep their pricks out of trouble.

Why is this embarrassing for the AFL?

It's embarrassing for those involved, not the organisation.

Really? Something about respecting women? Just launching the AFLW and a few fat cats, with families, can't keep their knobs in their pants at the sight of a younger female?

It's embarrassing on EVERY level.

Unseemly

Unseemly at best. What is going on up there at AFL House? First the cheap shot artist and now this, doesn't do much for the corporate brand does it?

And these are the clowns that hold our proud game to ransom with their socialist regime and rule changes at the drop of a hat.
