Watching the replay of Carlton Vs Richmond on BT Sport over here in England....
I worked, so I missed the live coverage this morning.
What the heck is that atrocity in the goal square??
Please tell me that this was for the opening match only! It looks absolutely disgraceful.
There's a garbage sponsor (You cant even tell what it is) in the 50 meter arch too.

Yep, Toyota emblem. I actually said to my missus I'm surprised it's taken this long for the AFL to use that part of the ground.
Didn't actually think it looked that bad myself. Ho hum.

It doesn't affect the game and gets them extra coin, nothing wrong with it IMO. Current day and age is all about sponsorship and money, its a pretty simple and easy way of pleasing the sponsors.

Calm that farm..
Not a big deal (pardon the pun) but
when there's a game of footy on do you really
look for what sponsers got what realestate on
or around the ground.

I'm with you Presti. It's just more tacky commercial crap ruining the look of our game.
Every year it seems the marketing sleazes find a way to foist another intrusive piece of advertising junk upon us.
