I hold no ill-feeling toward Beams and was a fan when playing for us.

But leadership material, um, no....

Considering the second choice was Mitch Robinson , they had no alternative.

See both he and Heata have figured in Players Selected List

Player 50 thru to 41 Beams and Shaw in that bracket ---no Magpie player

Will revisit when 40 thru 31 are listed

Look, I think that's probably right - I'd have Beams in the top 50 current Brisbane-listed players, too. As long as he isn't slow and plodding his way around our midfield, they can make him pope for all I care.

I never saw Dayne as captain material when he played with us, but maybe the lack of leaders at Brisbane makes him the best choice in a rudderless list.

Counting down the days until his next shoulder or soft tissue injuries ends his season prematurely again.

But Dyso for $900k a year I'm sure he can live with the pain
Mate I spoke to his father about this and he's actually really embraced the opportunity.
I know most here couldn't give a toss about it but we should actually be proud that he learnt his trade here and obviously that's been highly regarded elsewhere.
I hope he goes well (yes I'm biased towards him) I always wish ex players the best especially if they gave the club good service
