Best thing for all concerned but will the AFL give it to Cotchin and Mitchell. If so, Swanny gets to be runner-up.

I think the commission gave him the heads up that they were going to take it and gave him the oppirtunity to look like a "decent bloke".
IMO a "decent bloke" would have handed it back as soon as the international court dismissed their appeal.

He should've handed it back a lot earlier. Avoided being stripped of it. Without the performance enhancing drugs, he wouldn't have gone close to winning it. Fairest and best?

It is the only realistic choice under the circumstance. He was convicted or taking perform, ance enhancing drugs for the season concerned so he is ineligible. End of story.
I personally feel sorry for the guy and all those caught up in this sorry saga but at some point in time they did make a decision and they need to take responsibility for that decision.

How messed up would it be if nobody got a brownlow in that year...
Why should these other players be punished for his and his clubs mistake?
It doesnt matter if the players say they will respect the decision if nobody gets it, its the AFL's responsibility to give it to them. End of story

That is what I think Happened as the AFL has well looked after the Drug Cheats well

Should have been done sooner, but I think the AFL gave him the opportunity to be dignified by handing the Brownlow back earlier than the official date of his hearing.
He just couldn't keep it under any circumstances after the ban against him and 33 other players was imposed.

Im disappointed at the lack of crap thats been handed out.
Imagine if it was a Collingwood player?
Instead he's labeled as some kind of hero.

The victim narrative perpetuates the idea of Watson and the guilty players being "heroes".

Golden Boy Hird still in denial too. Says Jobe never cheated. Says Dank never convicted of giving him anything illegal. He'll go to his grave believing he still did nothing wrong. Sad man.

My best mate, a Dons man, reckons bloody HIrd should give jobe his brownlow, the one he got, to replace jobes. Hes not a happy camper at all.
