Hopefully get a retrospective payout on Mitchell and Cotchin

I don't think Cotchin and Mitchell should win it. What about the bloke who got 1 vote when Jobe got 2, does he then get 2 votes etc. And if any of the other 34 polled then their votes should be removed too and awarded to the next player. Way too hard. Should be null and void.

fair point.
But assume it is like suspended/ineligible player a la Chris Grant.
Cotchin and Mitchell deserving

I'd be inclined to give Grant a 20th anniversary retro Brownlow medal in 2017, for that farcical suspension in 1997.
Between that and the 1997PF, they couldn't take a trick that year...

Maybe my mind works different but I'd let Waston keep his Brownlow

Take it off him and award no brownlow that year. Great trivia question

Who won the 2012 AFL Brownlow, 2007 & 2009 NRL premierships?

Why?
I can't think of one reason why he should, or even want to. It's tarnished. He wasofficially, irrevocably a cheat that year.
If he wins it next year I'll stand and applaud. But no way he keeps it, no way. You may as well toss the honour out if he keeps it, it's best and FAIREST, cheating is never fair.

I hear another appeal is underway. Clearly no remorse.

I'm a little saddened that he's given his medal back - I was kind of hoping there would be another appeal or 6 to provide some entertainment for us.
