I think if you polled even people on a soccer site they would struggle identifying where in the world the other team comes from
Collingwood ahead of any soccer match - some big world cup games might get my attention over a footy game involving other clubs - so that is not very often. Local soccer is too low a standard to even consider.

Love us or Hate us... we are Collingwood - you can't ignore the Mighty Magpies!!!

Socceroos all the way.
A Timmy hat trick and a Carlton 100 point loss would do nicely.

Easy enough to watch both. Neither is likely to be interesting enough for 100% of the game. AFL takes preference though, not a huge game for the Socceroos.

So much easier to watch a one sided Socceroos game than 2 absolute shit clubs like Richmond and Carlton play.
The AFL doesn't really understand, the opening game of the season should be a showcase of the game, not a battle between two irrelevant teams, who have been, and will be irrelevant for a long time to come.

as i have often said, it's the afl's annual contribution to the comedy festival.mattys123 wrote:So much easier to watch a one sided Socceroos game than 2 absolute shit clubs like Richmond and Carlton play.

Purveyor of sanctimonious twaddle.

That is why the A-League moved to summer as not many people where Paying Attention to A-Lesgue with NRL and AFL in seasonJohn Wren wrote:i used to think i'd rather have my eyes poked out rather than sit through a game but now i can't get enough of it. i am somewhat sad that i did not gain appreciation for the sport earlier. ironically, it was the lack of afl in the offseason that saw me gravitate to soccer.stui magpie wrote:It's up there with Curling or badminton for mine.neil wrote:Is soccer even a real game?
