AFL website has Victorian Government suggesting that their plan is to have
the Geelong Stadium ready for big event match,s
"We know it,s up to AFL to schedule but feel the stadium would fit
September action"

Yeah right Spring St.
Get to governing is what ya job is
I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right

The reality is that the City of Melbourne needs a third stadium. Given that Vic Park, Waverley, Windy Hill, Arden St and Moorabbin are totally out of the question, Whitten Oval is dodgy, with parking issues, Princes Park is full of yuppies, that just leaves the Junction Oval...

Given the reluctance of the government to engage in another spat between cricket and football, the only place left is 45 miles down the highway and is now fully functional, like the death star...

We need a 30 to 35 thousand seat stadium next to the CBD.
How about a development of the railway land next to the Princess Bridge.
we don't eat our own at collingwood we just allow them to foul our nest.

Swinging seat - sure to happen

It couldn't be worse than Etihad -Pies could play the pauper and interstate teams there, and the fans could have a nice weekend down that way

Geelong needs to reinvent itself with the closure of some industries
