Beams

I'm going to post in here and see if it's like the sound of one hand clapping.

Theres been little talk of the Beams shoulder injury - wear and tear or impact related I'm not sure, but highly possible that if he had have stayed with us he might not be with us at the pointy end anyway, or playing with a significant injury. Another win imho.

If anyone reads this please reply as I'm feeling a bit like Schroedinger's cat in here

Not a silly observation at all Sir Cuthbert.
But we don't know if he will miss just the one week, or play on injured?
I'll take Crispy-baby and DeGooey any day!

And any relation to Sharenberg's cat?

I haven't watched the Brions play other than the game against us, but he is usually listed in their best players by the media so his shoulder doesn't appear to hamper his playing too much.

It would be a win for us if true.

Had a quick scan over Beam's stats.

He looks to be pretty much where has been over the last few years, except when it comes to kicking goals.

*Average Disposals

- 2013 = 29
- 2012 = 31

*Average Tackles
- 2015 = 4
- 2014 = 5
- 2013 = 4
- 2012 = 4

*Goals
- 2015 = 10 goals (15* games)
- 2014 = 23 goals (19 games)

Just noticed he's back in the team this week, though I read an article last week saying he was probably going for surgery and out for the season. Obviously they've decided to see how he goes with it. But yeah very happy with his replacements

His shoulder problem isn't making him any quicker.

It must be very rewarding for Beams being in a team competing for the "Wooden Spoon".

We got the better half of the trade with Crisp and DeGoey. The shoulder injury just moves it more in our favor.

Why the whinge, Cuthbert ?

You could've posted it in GD as it's about an ex- Pies player.

Look, I just hope it isn't one of those dreadful, recurring shoulder injuries that comes back at the pointy end of seasons or, worse still, ends careers. It would just be too awful to bear if Beams never reached his potential and they'd given us Crisp, De Goey and Greenwood in exchange.

I couldn't applaud Collingwood's recruiters for such an awful outcome and I'd be thinking that we would need to offer Brisbane all three of those players for nothing. That'd be right and fair, wouldn't it?

Beams keeps checking his bank account and laughs and laughs and laughs.
