So, how much longer will Hird last?

23 minutes into the 3rd quarter, they trail the Vomit 15.9 to 6.3. They've topped up with experienced talent and presently sit at 13th and, barring miracles, will be 14th (and perhaps 15th, depending upon percentage) at the end of the day and, with Brisbane, the only team with a present form line of 5 successive losses.

Great times.

the bombers look terrible, Watson and Cooney look overweight to me. Heppell is the only one having a crack.

will be funny when Hird gets the sack, Tanya will make him take them to court

The Bumblers are trailing 20.11 to 7.3, about 10 minutes gone in the last quarter against the 'Aints. Seems like Hird may well have resigned but perhaps hasn't told anybody yet.

Tania's hubby has taken a once power club down to a rabble.
Just waiting for WADA to nail them now.
They will be shite for at least a decade.

In fairness once the WADA decision to appeal came through there season was always likely to unravel.

The players and coach are mentally shot.

Remind me again, why is there any room for fairness here?

If history is any indiction, Hird will make this next week all about him instead of being all about Walsh.

Essendon will probably have to stick with him now until the WADA hearing is heard.

No coach (unless it's one of there assistants in a care taker role) will want the job until they know whether half the side will be suspended.

Maybe we should throw Heppell a lifeline and get him off that sinking ship?

You lost me at "in fairness!"

Hmm, so now the drugs have worn off, they don't look so good. Hand back that medal, do the time, and James never to set foot on the hallowed turf ever again!

Oh and

HIRD CANT COACH!

#StandByHird - Essendon wanted to keep Hird so they're only getting what they deserve.

However looking at this objectively and putting any hatred for Hird aside the question Essendon has to ask itself is what can Hird achieve for this club in the future?

He's been with Essendon for five seasons and the club hasn't improved in any areas on and off the field since they sacked Knights. Essendon has very little kids coming through the ranks and need a rebuild but is Hird the man to take them through that rebuild and what happens if WADA finds their players guilty within the next year?

I honestly think they need a fresh start with new people in charge not only in a coaching capacity but also in a board capacity. Hird should be sacked sooner rather than later but does Paul Little and the board have the guts to dismiss him? I doubt it.

I also think Jobe Watson is going to retire if rumours and recent comments from the man himself are anything to go by. He seems drained by the footy experience and mentally shot right now and it's reflected in his poor performances recently.

Now back to hating Essendon I hope Hird stays and continues to destroy the club within! He's already done immense damage in his five seasons with them as coach and if the players are found guilty by WADA they will be on the bottom for a decade similar to the way Carlton has been since the salary cap scandal rocked the club back in 2002.

It couldn't happen to a nicer bunch!

If they had've come clean and taken their medicine (pun intended) this fiasco would've been over by now. But they decided to try and weasel out of it which has only prolonged their agony. No one to blame but themselves.
