Not sure I like that idea. I'd much rather the Old Goat continue for about another 10 years.

Thompson would be a good get, reckon they'll give Mick this season though, finals or bust IMO.

Early days but Carlton look the same. 6 to 8 wins maybe. Their list just isn't good enough for Malthouse to get anywhere at that pathetic club. Their recruiting has been all over the place since he arrived. At least we decided early on our list didn't have another flag in it and traded heavily back in to the national draft. We have had a plan for three years now and they still seem lost. They even spent their first pick on a guy they could have rookied last year... Bizarre.

Ratten was taken them places, higher on the ladder places. They should have stuck with him. Brisbane should have kept Voss and Gold Coast prematurely gave McKenna the arse. In a world where everything is instant, no-one has any patience anymore.

Wishful thinking by deluded and desperate scum fans, Thompson knows the scum are a train wreck, don't reckon hed sully his time and energy with that rabble. Voss the toss though, thatd be more my tip if the old man cant turn thihgs around real fast, he may not even get to his McHale record breaking game. LOL

If they do ditch Mick, I hope they bite the bullet real soon before he gets past old Jock's record.
A couple of really bad losses in the next weeks might see that happen - suddenly.
Bomber's not going to cool his heals for long and wants back in the footy circus whether it be coaching or a bigger media contract somewhere. If Carlton leave it to even mid-season to ditch Mick and go after Bomber it might be too late.

Let's cool it folks. We won and they lost. Next week we could both be 1 - 1. We are only one loss away from plenty of people on here who will start talking again about sacking our coach and bringing in the likes of Bomber or Voss.

I would piss myself laughing if that happened especially after Voss' failures at Brisbane as coach!
I also can't see Bomber Thompson returning to the coaching gig either. He was 'burnt out' by the experience at the end of 2010 with Geelong and also he didn't seem all that enthusiastic about it last year with Essendon but he had a sense of obligation to help the club during a troubled period for them hence he accepted the responsibility to coach the club for season before golden boy returned.
