Fun Facts:
- Collingwood has not beaten Coburg since Round 12 of 2010, the only time the Magpies have beaten the Tigers since returning to the competition in 2008.
- This is the 5th consecutive year since 2008 that Collingwood and Coburg will have only a single encounter in the home and away season.
- This will be the first time Coburg has played on the glorious surrounds of Victoria Park since the ground began hosting VFL matches again in 2010.
NOTE: This game is scheduled to finish at approximately the same time as the AFL game against the Bulldogs is scheduled to begin (4:40pm). The game is, however, being broadcast on both analogue and digital radio (see broadcast guide above for details), so fans who leave Victoria Park early will still be able to keep in touch with proceedings while en route to Docklands.

Yep.Dave The Man wrote:Terrible Scheduling by the VFL
Seriously, the VFL has the AFL fixture for nearly two whole months before it releases its own draw. How can they NOT have a clash-free fixture?
At the very least, this game should be starting at 1:30pm. Would give people that extra half an hour to get to Docklands.
Sigh. At least it's on radio...

Yep, at least 5 blokes back into the slot.jackcass wrote:Keeffe, Young, Russell, and Krak all named. A sign of things to come with players returning from injury.
And Hartley on the bench.
And that's not counting maybe a Dwyer who may still play if not included in the seniors, or maybe an Oxley who makes way for an Elliott or some such. Hell, I'd even hold Broomhead back for another game or two, before seeing what he can do senior side in the 2nd half of the year.
Just need to keep these blokes back out on the park. It's great to see them return, but it matters for nothing if they just go straight back into the casualty ward...

Good pickup. Certainly an option with both Keeffe & Harrley back.MagpieBat wrote:Also, I notice that there is no Ben Richmond in the side.
No great loss, given his recent form. But I do wonder if now they might finally give Gault a run up forward now that Hartley is back to take that key defensive position?

Interesting.jackcass wrote:Wonder if they'll give Hudo a rest and play Witts & Grundy as the 2 rucks with an occasional chop out from Gault?
They'll be facing Stephenson, who is a great ruckman at this level, as well as Derickx.
Would play Huddo this week, myself. We have the bye at both AFL and VFL level next week. And with 5 blokes on the bench, you can rotate the 3 rucks more easily.
Need to maximise our chances of winning this one, in order to keep a game clear of the teams behind us...
