Round 11 - Casey vs Collingwood at Casey Fields
1:10PM this Saturday at Casey Fields, Cranbourne East.
Coverage on ABC1 from 1:00PM.
Casey sits in the top 4 (4th) on percentage, ahead of Bendigo and North Ballarat. Collingwood is outside the top 8 (9th), one game behind Werribee. Need to win to stay in touch with the top 8.
We would have to win and win big, which is not likely, as Box Hill is coming up behind us and will overtake if they beat Frankston on the weekend.
Will Fevola play? And will Pendlebury get the job on him? That'll be the match-up AFL recruiters will be watching.
Injuries to the seniors will guarantee a re-call for Blair and almost certainly will see Fasolo debut on Queen's Birthday. Our VFL stocks will therefore be depleted further, unless Josh Thomas can get back on the park this Saturday (also highly unlikely).
There's no doubting our ability to be competitive against higher-ranking VFL sides (we were in the games against Williamstown and the Bullants for the majority of those matches). We just need to put in a 4-quarter effort and run out the full game. We also need our more senior playes to fire. Dick needs to put in an effort, for example.
Hoping to see Shae expand upon his game with another good effort in the ruck.
Pendles and Sundberg need to play at their best.
Hope to see the rookies fire, such as Bolton, Reed, Reilly and Perham.
Also want to see some more good things from Young, Keefe, Rounds and Ugle.
If BJ and/or Buckley are right for a run (but not ready for seniors yet), then that would be a major boost.
A deep injury list on the Melbourne side should see some of Melbourne's young brigade called up for the Queen's Birthday dance, which should help.
This is the last VFL match before the bye (also the case with the AFL). We need a win, badly, for both development purposes and to stay in touch with the rest of the comp.

At least 4 of the bolded players won't be in the side either.
