VOTES Round 18 vs Lions

Post by Pied Piper »

Haven't been able to watch a game live (albeit with minor delay) for a while so I'll take some pleasure in starting this...

3 Scott Pendlebury
2 Dane Swan
1 ... hmm ... very difficult, but I'll give it to Maxy.

Apologies to Leon, Thomas, Heater, Dids and especially Leigh Brown, who I thought was terrific on J Brown after quarter time. He would never have expected to have to do the job and he never took a backward step.

AND......................

10 VOTES: Mick Malthouse, for completely outpointing Michael Voss from the box after we lost Presti and our structure with it. Fantastic. :D

Well done L brown thought he ended up even with Brown.
All this may be summed up in one word - CHARACTER - and if that is not worth developing, nothing is.

3. Pendlebury - All class, great to see Pendles coming back into form. Shows they can't tag Swan, Didak AND Pendlebury, but stiff shit they need to.

2. Davis - Is there anything he can't do... maybe it's kick the easy ones.

1. L. Brown - Like every bully, J.Brown can't stand it when the big kid stands up to him. Went to water after the jumper punches from leroy. I know he got towelled in the first quarter but he didn't exactly have a lot of help.

^ I'd love to give 3 to Presti too.

3. Pendelbury - his best game for a while.

2. Swan - I've been saying all season, "Get on him for the Brownlow."

1. Could have raffled it, but I'm going for Harry O'Brien. I tell you he is still learning this game, and he gets better each week because he is a truly teachable person. You are great Harry and will be the dominant halfback in the AFL within two years. :D

Pendles 3
Swan, 2
Thomas 1

Special apologies to the man who is on his way to becoming a legendary Collingwood captain, but I thought Thomas kept us in it in the first half and stayed dangerous in the second.

Great night for my one match of the year in Australia ! Worth the 20 hours on the plane.
