who is going to play on that little pissant milne? you'd have thought he had bird flu the way richmond let him be.

gehrig is sadly out of form but never underestimate our ability to play him back into form. no riewoldt helps us enormously as the pressure will be on kosi to perform for 4 quarters.

the saints are not travelling well and the injuries to gilbert, mcguire and hudghton will hurt them.

as for dooley, who is going to hobble him?

I think their forward line will function better with only the 2 key forwards. Wakelin goes to Gehrig, Brown to Kosi.

O'Brien may be left out this week also, but if not i'd put him on Milne.

Saints defense is shot, and that's where we should win the game.

Doubt Fraser will come up.

O'Brien on Milne. You've got to be kidding! Harro O wouldn't have the pace or skills to keep him held. No Heater takes Milne - has to. I'm just hoping Anthony (Rocca, not Jack) comes back with a blinder.

Yep time for us to step up at Telstra Dump. We must keep gherig - the overgrown garbage bag out of it and Heater must shut down that shrunken rat face milne.

Harry is the new Clement (not nearly as good yet). Can play tall or small. Has surprising pace. Played on Farmer in Rd 1 and did a good job. Would try Harry on him first and try and get Heater up on HB more to use his rebound. If Harry doesn't work, then bring Heater back on him.

Agree Wakes on G-Train and Brown-dog on Kosi.

We need to.... Have to win the midfield and provide good supply to our forwards. Rocca Cloke Medders should be too good for their depleted backline, so the pressure is on the midfield to provide good supply.

Suggest that Saints will flood with their backline so depleted. So Rocca & Cloke are required for contested marks and our crumbers need to be in the right position (for once).

MUST WIN GAME FOR US. Saints for all their worries are travelling better than us ATM 4-3 vs 3-4 ! ITS A GOOD OLD FASHION 8 POINT GAME!

I look forward to us beating those media darlings the Sainters this Friday. Thank God Riewoldt is injured, because I get sick of hearing McAvaney treating him like a love-child. When big Nick takes the field (wrapped in more tape and bandages than an Egyptian mummy) he is simply the most over-rated footballer in the AFL.

Here's Riewoldt sitting on the bench after sustaining his injury against the Tigers.

Wakes to Gehrig
Lockyer to Milne
Brown on Kosi when hes forward
Heater wont have an opponent

I'd give Harry a run in the seconds this week and bring in another on-baller... either Iles or Wellingham

Wouldnt mind trying Harry on Milne, because while Heater will shut the little shit down, Heater playing that close to goal is a win for them.

HOF match further underlined both Heaters skill and best position. Lynch-pin across the Half Back line. He was considered to be the best Victorian to fill that role, and he did it superbly. We should aim to keep him there for best effect. Dropping back on small forwards only in an emergency (as on Leon in that game).

Brown could also play on Gehrig, but Wakes is the better option.

If Brown plays on Kosi...i wonder how permanent we could make that matchup for the night. I.e. if Fraser doesnt come up, play Wood first ruck, and have Brown pinch hitting whenever they use Kosi. Big guy, big leap...might be interesting.

I want to see Pendlebury really psyched for this game. Tell him if he wants to be captain next year (or the year after) we want to see him not only doing the team things (which he is great at) but knowing when to be selfish and really ignite the side with some individual feats of brilliance. Somebody give the boy some Fig Jam.

Milne would be too quick and agile for Tarks IMO. Tarks is a good endurance runner (i.e. gut running into space), but doesn't have explosive pace or turning ability required to play on the small forward pockets. Harry generally is a good strong tackle and good strength in the air (where Milne got a couple of goals last round).

Maybe Goldy is another option for Milne, if you wanted to bring in a mid (Wellingham or Illes) for Harry.

nobody can stop Milney! there are some games where he stuffs up all the time and i want to run on the fround and show him how to do a drop punt not a stupid snap over the head, but there are others where i am so happy he is apart of the club. i think we are in for a big night with Milne kicking 6 and Kosi getting 4, and if G is picked in the team he will get 2.

what people have forgotten is that Hayes is an absolute star, and you will need someone to stop him. and Max Hugston is a once in a life time back man!

i think every we pay for our tickets on friday night will be worth it!

GO SAINTS!

I wouldn't mind seeing Brown line up on Gehrig. If my memory serves me correctly we usually struggle with the gorilla. I know he's out of form but he's still dangerous and I reckon the young gun will do a better job on him than Wakes.

Had a dream we won by 16. And Leon kicked goal of the year. He took on a couple of defenders, then threw it out behind him to Lockyer (illegal I know), Tarks snaps, it gets smothered and Leon swoops in with one hand, and bananas it on his left.

I'd put Heater on Milne. Wakes on Gherig. Brown on Kozi. Goldy and Harry to take whoever else, and I'd even try Goldsack on the wing. He's got the skills, just needs to work on his kicking skills a tad. Get him into the games more and his form will flourish.

Maxwell, as I said in another thread, should be the one dropped IMO. However, I also suggested JA to come in for him, but we'd be too top heavy. So....

OUT: Cook, Maxwell.

IN: Wellingham, Rocca.
