I think we're all struggling to fit Rocca and Burns into a very winning team. No one put their hand up to be dropped and we can't send 24 out there, unfortunately. I can see us arguing in circles all week and the reality is that we all have our favourite players, and favourite styles of play.
I can totally see where Snoop is coming from with his call on Wakes, but I disagree about dropping him. I'm with David and others who don't think our young defence will cope without his experience on the field. But who does he play on? Roughead looks the best fit, but I think he's just too well suited to Brown. You might keep Wakes as a backup in case Brown's employed forward, a string Mick seems to want him to have in his bow.
Cox has been sitting on the bench of my Dream Team all year and even though the 7 on the field are going well, I would like to see his value going up. So I admit it's partly my own interests I'm serving when I recommend him for selection! I do reckon he'd be worth a try on Buddy. Hard to see Cox getting a go though, when there are already going to be some unlucky guys.
I do think we should leave Burns and Rocca out. The team played well without them. They get a bonus week off after this game, let the old buggas have a rest. There's plenty of season left to warm 'em up for the finals.
What Snoop said about Clarke was fair enough, I was in favour of resting him but maybe it isn't the best thing for his development.
Which means Cox stays out. Bugga. Oh well, maybe next week.
No change.

if brown does a job on buddy we win he will be this weeks rising star nomination, buddy chops him up he learns something we still win sort of.
Rocca you probably pick him because they have not got a big defence but if it is not working with rocca in the foward line we must bench him and try plan b alah foward structure on the weekend.

last week buddy only kicked 1 and hawkthorn still won, i'd say there are quite a few others we need to worry about than just him.
even when we kept j. brown to just 2 goals against we lost so this week requires a top effort from all of our defense, we can do it.
for me: nathan j on buddy, wakes on roughhead, heater on williams, maxy on which ever other tall goes down there.
it will hard to match the hawks the run but hopefully we can generate some run of halfback and give some good service to trav, medalhurst and rocca if he plays.

Great analysis as always Snoop. We will have to play at our best but usually rise to good opposition so would hope for a good showing.
But I do wonder why you rate Guerra so highly (3 mentions). Personally I reckon this bloke was ordinary at the Saints and is ordinary now. Has a reputation as a hard man by arriving at the contest second and crunching the play maker. Never seen him go in head down bum up and come up with a hard ball himself. Just an observation...
