so we've lost to the arguably the best three teams going around this year, hawks, cats, and eagles.

so we're not the best. is that a surprise? who expected us to be number1 team this year.

the main thing is that we are contending with the best. we always worry them and push them very close.

this year so far, we have seen much more than anyone would have expected.

and in a few years, gee, even next year, we will be so much stronger, experienced and skilled.

im still as excited as ever

Coll 9.10.64
Geel 11.14.80

Not the result we were hoping for, or expecting, but c'est la vie!

Thoughts?

Cloke was sensational.

Rocca was absolutely useless.

Harry's worst game in Collingwood colours.

Geelong were almost full strength and we are far from it and still pushed them.
We can still go all the way.

Geelong are at there peak at the moment. See adelaide last year. Don't ride us off. They were however far to dangerous for us today.

Reload and bring on the bombers!

One thing that drove me crazy with the coverage was Walls + Co gushing over Selwood. They could not heap enough praise on the kid, meanwhile Pendlebury went about his business and matched Selwood kick for kick all day, but got no praise.

The media DO NOT want a Collingwood player to win the Rising Star.

Yet another game where if we win we can go 2nd but we just aint good enough.
Even more disappointing now that Port are thrashing WCE.

Essendon next week aint gunna be easy, lose that and we could be out of the 8 next week if results dont go our way.

Theres a few players i reckon we can trade for who will improve our side even further.

N.Buckley
J.Clement.
S.Prestigiacomo
R.Shaw

Oh wait....they are already our players and will be back before the finals.

The only improvement left in Geelong is if Calf's blood and Honey make their dickhead name-changer's hammy better.

Geelong are better than I gave them credit for, definitely a top 4 side....but i thought we were poor in a LOT of key areas.

Harry had an absolute shocker
Rocca even worse
the turnovers were disgraceful
and it seemed like Geelong led us to EVERY contest.

We were nowhere near our best, and thats unfortunate because we needed to be today.

Oh well, the season is about winning premierships, and Geelong getting all cocky over the 4pts will do us no harm when we meet them in the finals.

Can we please stop harping on the players who are missing. It is of no relevance to today's game.

How is that so? Unless Goldsack is a better defender than James Clement, its of relevance.

Zakal, Do you recall us discussing this game a few weeks ago and how Geelong have not won a big pressure game this year?

Well I hate to say it but we were both wrong mate.
No excuses, we were not good enough. Next time.

Why not talk about the match guys, we for the first time today carried a few players

- Medhurst
- Bryan
- Rocca
- Goldsack
- Wakes
- Isles
- Harry

All players were down on there output, the question must be asked why? Harry, Wakes, Goldy and Isles can be excused as they all played well last week. Medhurst, Rocca, Bryan are left in the firing line.

in Richards, Reid, R Shaw(or R Cook), Presti
out Bryan, Medhurst, Isles, Wakes
