Great result. Perhaps a little unconvincing, but that last quarter was excellent.
As for the Grant decision, the umpires have been doing that for years (giving ridiculously short 50s), it's only a big issue now because of how and when it occurred. And, it made up for some of the controversial umpiring decisions against us in the second half.

Absolutely crap first 3 quarters from both teams. Mistakes you'd see in a country under 14's game and terrible assisting. The umpiring was atrocious for the whole game. Hale took a mark right in front of me in the 3rd quarter after obviously pushing his opponent out with his hands and was paid the mark.
Last quarter, the boys fired up and the army found it's voice. And WE WON.
Far as I'm concerned, Ben Reid is now steaknives. Medhurst goes OK.

Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down.
We have definitely used our 'get out of gaol free' card.
How much money did Shannon Grant have riding on a Collingwood victory?
Nevertheless, it was a gutsy effort by the boys. Daisy was the spark, and Medhurst was terrific. The main difference in the last quarter was that we started to play instinctive goal to goal football instead of all that stop and prop shit which never gets us anywhere. When you've got a big fella like Pebbles in the goal square, you've got to honour his presence by kicking it down there as often as possible. Even though I don't think he kicked a goal, he was presenting and smashing packs open and when the ball came to ground it gave us opportunities. I also thought Lockyer was very good in the last quarter. To be honest I am still trying to work out how we won it. Hopefully it will give our boys enormous confidence, knowing that we can run over a side in the last quarter like that. Having said that, we can only hope they don't give any other teams three quarters start. Yee..ha!
