Couldn't agree more!. Losing Rocca kept the Roo's in the match! More than likely would have been a different outcome if he didn't get injured, oh well.Eunos wrote:We lost a guy who was on fire in the first, kicking 3 goals.
That was the difference there and then.
Good to see the boys fight back though in the last qtr. Definitely playing better footy now!.
Here's to alcohol, the cause of-and solution to-all life's problems.
Yeah, but 1-3 means its going to be very tough to come back from here.Yowler wrote:Couldn't agree more!. Losing Rocca kept the Roo's in the match! I am gutted as well. I could say a million things about Tazz, I said to my mate as we were watching this, imagine this was a Grand Final right now. Then I thought back to Tazz in 2002 kicking into the man on the mark. Then I saw the kick, then I thought F#%$&!!! you Tazz !!!!! and Caracella for that matter !!!!
What a waisted match !!!

Still can't believe it. We had that game in the bag at one stage. Our first term was excellent, with Rocca on fire. His strength around the packs was terrific, and he showed great agillity. Sadly, his loss really bites hard into our season. He and Tarrant were combining well, a la 2002, and were really starting to show their best form until late in the term. That is where we let North back in. They managed two quick goals late, and were in it for the rest of the match. We failed to put them away when we were up. Tex did well early in the quarter, as did C2, who seemed in very good form in the ruck, and battled manfully. We then struggled after that. Why? We were indirect, again, and without Rocca lacked a target. It was fustrating to see the Roos drop back two players back into defense, to capitalise on our lack of crumbers. Why on earth did we leave Davis on the bench for so long? He showed how dangerous he can be in the final term, and added real bite. Ditto Rowe. Why was he left on the pine for so long? He is a very talented footballer, with plenty of skills and class, yet he is constantly left on the bench by Malthouse. He is a gun footballer in the making, yet MM sees fit to keep players such as Woewodin, who has been inderperforming, on the ground. It baffles me. Our goalkicking was shocking. Tarrant missed some difficult ones, but generally should have done better with his last one. It wasn't his fault, neccesserally. Why weren't we going down the corridor? Caracella will be a very good pick up for us. Very slick, great skills and brilliant in front of goal. Great stuff Cara. An absoulutely brilliant footballer, can be a star.
Where to now????? A win on ANZAC Day. We can still scrape a win in there, but after that, look who we have:
Round 6: St.Kilda
Round 7: Fremantle (Subiaco)
Round 8: Richmond
Round 9: West Coast (MCG)
Richmond will be a win, but the other three pose serious trouble. The two West Australian sides will be tough to beat, but I can see us really hurting the Saints.
Go Pies. With Fraser, Stretch, C1 and Dids back....who knows?

Bugger Bugger Bugger!! Rocca was on fire - when he went down - without Josh or Guy - it was almost like shuffling deck chairs on the titanic!
Thought Taz worked his butt off and Rhyce showed some bloody old fashioned G & D taking that hit - disappointed but at least they did not run all over us
No offence meant to anyone - but I reckon the umpires have a secret love of gay porn - ie like watching a good looking bloke get scragged and manhandled - only reason I can come up with for Taz never getting a BLOODY FREE!!
