Ganguly Aussie tour vow

INDIA captain Saurav Ganguly has promised a trouble-free Test series in Australia this summer.
He said today there will be no repeat of the acrimony that marked the 2001 Test series in India, when Ganguly sparked a feud with Steve Waugh after repeatedly arriving late for the toss as India came back to win 2-1.
"A lot was made out of it in 2001," said Ganguly. "They play tough cricket and I also play the hard way.
"But all that is in the past. We all mature as time goes on. It is time to move ahead, not look back."
Ganguly also sought to bury the hatchet with Waugh ahead of the tour, during which India will play four Tests and a triangular one-day series also featuring Zimbabwe.
"I have a lot of regard for Steve," he said. "Steve is a role model for many cricketers. There was a lot at stake for us both (in 2001). It was an important series for them and it was only the second series for me as captain."
India's selectors are due to name the Test squad tomorrow after the one-day tri-series game with Australia here.
Ganguly, who has been out of action for almost a month with a thigh injury, will play in this game.
