Match Report from a far off lounge room..

Presti is a late withdrawal so young Dane Swan gets his first senior gig.
bench to start the game is Swan,Kinnear,Didak and davis.
Umpires wearing orange but didnt make any difference,they were still very very ordinary.
game on.
before we could get comfortable in thechair Bucks had hit a leading Molly on the tit and we were 1 goal up.
Then a cupla seconds later Ant roosts a long bomb into the square Cheesy stays down like a good crumber should and snaps truly.and its 2 nil 3 minutes in.
another long Ant kick is just off line and already it looks like we are far superior to the dogs.
Our tackling across the board is ferocious and the dogs cant get anywhere without being brought down and T/os aplenty arise.
the best chance the dogs got early was when Bucks gave a lookaway handball to brad johnson who said thanks very much,but wakes took a speccy in the square to repel it.
Ant has really come to play,he has 4 marks already at the 10 minute mark,he has 2 black arm bands on,dont know the significance of that as taz has 2 as well,while the rest have 1 to honour junior mchale.
Roop and Molly are in everything early and i quite expected MM to drag them both,as thats his usual caper with these 2 when they are going well.
2 goals to roop and a roop give to taz result in us turning 38-3 at the qtr time huddle.
Roop could have had 3 goals but he inexplicably played on when he marked 15 mtrs out and was dumped before he could kick it.
Dogs get a couple of rushed behinds to open the second term,then Molly misses a snap after taking it from a throw in,but son after Cloke intercepts the kick in and molly marks and goals again.
Bucks lines up from 50 and the kicks a shocker OOF,dogs rush fwd and miss a sitter. we go fwd and molly misses as he appeared to slip as he kicked it.telstra dome syndrome.
we pepper the goals but cant find the middle,a disease we suffer from far too often when sides curl up and want to be smashed.we cant do it.
Doogy gets past daks but a fired up Taz runs him down but he too misses the shot.
Cloke does the smother of the year follows it up with the spoil of the year but the dogs keep attacking,luckily for us they are even worse in front of goal than we are.
Young Swan is now on the ground and he lays a great tackle on darcy which eventuallyleads to daks and he goals from 40.
then Cole makes one of his many errors drops a simple chest mark at CHB and dogs crumb and goal.
the next couple of minutes was vinatge pies.
bounce,Burns runs and goals from 55
bounce Bucks gets clearance and goals on run from 60.
bounce burns again dashes fwd but only a point results this time.
Ben Kinnear was the one that got the ball out for those 3 clearances as he handled darcy with aplomb in those instances.
68-20 at the half and it seems the biggest problem we have is where to store the Robert Rose cup.
A good half of running tackling footy.
so why did we alter our system?
next half is nothing but a shootout plain and simple.
Dogs start with an impossible goal over the shoulder backwards.We then go lair rising around like old tarts.
At one stage it gets to our fwd pocket and 8 handballs later by us its on the wing without a dog touching it then we turn it over and dogs goal again.
why wont we do the sensible thing and kick it into the hot spot?instead of all this over possesing rubbish.
we have talls who can mark and smalls who can crumb so lets use them.
Cole gives away a few more goals with ridiculous jumps over the pack.
I dont know how many times in this last half not one pie stays down as they all want to jump at once.
Cole is the biggest culprit but he isnt alone.
we go fwd many times for points to obree one of which hit the post from dead in front...sheeezzz!!daks intercepts the kick in passes to woey who is almost killed taking the mark,ump sends him off for bleeding and kinnear gets to have the kick and he goals.
then Roop gets a charity for running into darcys shoulder and he goals.
gee these umps are scary,its ok this time for us but its just hopeless all the time.
i reckon we may see both sides walk off one day and go on strike ,its getting that bad.Justice for thedogs as they get that one back 20 secs later.
Lika has a shot from 40 that goes off the side of the boot but Molly climbs higher than the west gate bridge and pulls in mark of the day and goals.
dogs get a couple more goals we get a few more points including one from Ant from 30 cms out.fair dinkum we have got to learn to kick sides out of games.
woey marks at siren time 55 out but the kick only goes 54.

we have had enough chances to be 100 points up but somehow the dogs are still in the game.
we start the last qtr much the same as we both bucks and daks miss shots at goal.
Molly again slips while going for a mark,and his knee looks a bit proppy,MM pulls him off but Molly is going crook all the way off saying hes ok.
he has put in a good nights work but hes off for the night now.I really think he has a hatred of the pine.
taz takes a speccy and goals Dogs get that back 20 secs later.
umps bewilder me again when a dog is pinged for deliberate after the ball went 60 mtrs before leg breaking out of bounds.At least they have erred on our side this week but err they have.too often. Cheesy bangs thru his 4th after a 1 mtr pass from dids.
Then the umps have a 2 minute mothers meeting before continuing the game.
josh taps the eventual bounce to bucks who hits taz on the tit and its a goal again.
Ant snaps a point,dogs goal from the kick in.
Bucks goals on the run from 60 again,dogs goal again as coles man is loose as usual and it was rather pathetic looking at cole come in to spoil about 2 minutes too late.
and we finish the game off with 3 more points and then finally tazzes 13 the mark of the night and another point.

After we recieve the cup the players let young Dane swan lead us off and then he is in the guts getting water thrown over him as we sing the song.
he didnt star but he did enough to earn another go,if not next week the before too long.
For me Cloke was the shining light.never gives up goes in without fear.
wakes and Clem with clokey as a back up were great in defence.
josh battled well and although darcy won the ruck josh did plenty around the ground.
Kinnear showed a bit when ruck roving,Cole isnt a backmans aresehole,he may lay a good tackle some times although ive seen lots of his tackles penalised this year too,his kicks take too long to reach a target and he shows no defensive skill at all regards manning up.
and those leaps into backs of the packs are just so dumb im speechless.
Classic winger or HFF perhaps as a running reciever may be his possy but he hurts us too much down back.
we already got johnno doing the same,no place for 2 of them.
Bucks had 35 touches,Ant was better tonight,taz had 13 marks,Molly was left on most of the night and showed his worth.Burns was his usual reliable self.
But the thing that worried me most was the ease at which the dogs left our fwd line when we turned it over.
that part of our set up has to improve if we are to play a part in sept.
we beat the wooden spooners like we should do so nothing to get too excited about.
especially for me as that game puts my bet on dreamons for the spoon out of reach.
