Well they couldn't play much worse.

Reduce the margin to 2 goals at 3/4 time and you never know.

Much better finish to the quarter from the Eagles. Kept the Hawks goalless for the second half.

Statistically, it's worth bearing in mind that, the 1970 Collingwood team aside, no team has ever coughed up a 5-goal half-time lead to lose a Grand Final.

Yep, it's this that makes the Hawks a great team. Their individual ability isn't that great, especially these days. Only time we get a good game is when both team's structures hold up. Otherwise we get boring run in goals like today.

Eagles could definitely be closer, but not getting the simple opportunities the Hawks are.
The difference between the last game they played against each other and this one is that the ground is about 20 metres wider and also shorter - it simply isn't possible to close the Hawks down here the way the Wiggles did in the West.

Oh shit yeah.
Reckon I might wear my VAFA Bulleen-Templestowe jumper tomorrow.
It's blue and gold. Close enough.
And former Bulleen-Templestowe player Luke Shuey kicked the first goal.
It was an omen! Then just hogs the ball for a behind, and you guessed it, Whoreks take it coast to coast for a another two goal turnaround.
WCE momentum killer. It's what they do best to WA teams.

Sit down & shut up before I take my shovel & bury you at Westerfolds Park!
Ha! It still fits, with room to spare. N'Yuh!
It's too hot to wear it today, as it is 100% 90s wool.
It is hanging by the balcony door for decoration today.

Westerfolds Park doesn't sound very appealing; shutting up now ma'am...

Needless to say the eagles need the first goal to give themselves a sniff of hope.

Reckon the Roos would have made a better contest of it than these spineless cowardly WCE bastards.

I didn't watch it but I think he may have not made the final cut during the heats before the game.
