Great win by the boys last night. My heart nealy gave in but with the pies grit and dtermination we both got through. It was great to see our youngsters winning us the game eg. Pendles, Daisy, C3, Irish and goldy. Didak was all class and he and neon leon were both huge X Factors tonight.
Bring on the cats next friday night at the MCG. Cant wait im already nervous. Go Pies

Was an amazing result for the pies. I haven`t screamed myself sick since 2003. This talk of trading Didak better not happen, he absolutely won us the game last night. That was a champions effort from him.
I reckon if we beat the cats, we will win the flag. Imagine that.......
We only lost by 16 points when we played the cats last time, and we had a few people out as well. Even if we don`t win, it has been a very good year. I had the pies to finish 10th. We`ve already beaten last years grand finalists in our 2 finals. Collingwood are now the giant killers, lets keep it going lads.....

When we played Geelong last time we had no Buckley and no Clement playing, so that will make a difference...

WOOHOO! What an awesome AWESOME game! My heart rate still hasn't gone back to normal and I'm only just coherent again. After screaming at the TV all night, I suddenly lost the power of speech at the end. A friend turned up and I could barely get the words out to tell him that we won. Thank you Pies for an amazing win. Bring on the Cats!

My player ratings over the last 2 weeks, with comments on players performance in game 2:
Rating
Player Game 1 Game 2 Game 2 Comments
Buckley 7 6 High possessions, great leadership, disposal a bit off
Burns 5 4 Below his usual standards, possibly injured
Clark 7 7 Two great finals
Clement 6 6 Great last quarter
Cloke 9 8 If the guy slotted them would have been 9
Davis 7 8 Adds class and pressure. Liked his last 2 games
Didak 7 9 Getting back to AA standard.
Frazer 6 na na
Bryan na 5 Presented well, had three shots on goal. Ruck work a worry
Glodsac 7 7 Courage, height, pace and skill.
Lockyer 5 7 Provided good run, defense and set up
Medhurst 7 6 Great tackling, marking and set up goals. Some clangers brought him down.
Maxwell 6 6 Stalwart in defence
Obree 5 8 Great game from Obree
Obrien 7 6 Solid in defence
Pendlebury 8 8 Class, set up so many opportunities.
Richards 5 4 Did well in the ruck, beated around the ground
Rocca 9 5 Created opportunities and scored 3 goals
Rusling 8 3 Not his day, presented well, just couldn't hang on to the marks.
Shaw 9 4 Seems to me he was struggling with his corky - didn't look fit
Thomas 5 8 Beat his oponent, in the last beat two much bigger bodied openents, Great run.
Walelin 7 6 Beat his oponent - on a day not suited to big forwards
Swan 5 9 Apart from a few way-ward disposals, would have been 10.

A month of good footy can win you a flag, a week of bad footy and it could be all over.
I rate Geelong as far and wide the best side in the comp, their players are playing fantastic footy, its going to be tough, but its not impossible!
2 Down, 2 to go.
We are undefeated in extra time, 2 from 2.
btw, can people stop saying we have nothing to loose, we clearly have a massive shot at the premiership (is that nothing).

I think why people say we have nothing to loose is expectations of the Pies was in the begining of season we wern't going to make the finals and when finals came that it would be a given that we would bow out in the first week! But if you take Geelong for instance they are expected to win the flag so with high expectations of them they have plenty to loose.
Never disperse your focus unless absolutely necessary. Face one adversary at a time!
