Good to see Lonie back. Big wrap for him and he will provide the finishing that we need. Go Lones. Get in, son.

You just dont appreciate how big this match is until you use the ladder predictor. If results go our way, we will end up two games clear in the eight. If we lose and they dont, we could actually drop out of the eight on percentage.

Massive Game and simply no room for "honourable losses" and "we just didn't come to play".

I thought Isles was BOG against Saints 2 weeks ago, he is very stiff. Presti on the girl, why cant Heath play on Lucas he's fast Lucas cant mark over his head and I'd send Harry forward to tag Fletcher for the whole game use him as a tagging defensive forward because if Fletcher can run around and do what he wants we will be in trouble. Rocca has to play on Mal Michael not on Fletcher because he will do just what Scarlett did last week and run off him all day.

Its shits me to tears Rocca has left himself open to this, get fit and make them earn the ball big fella. Rocca could cost us any game now, not only with his kicking and going missing but now teams will just run off him all day.

That's why we have other forwards as well. If Pebbles opponent starts running off down the field one of the faster forwards should take the initiative and chase the &*(.

Pebbles has always been a muscle car with a whippersnipper tank, that's not going to change now. The others need to work for each other.

Remember, if there are any players in the AFL that scare the crap through Dustin Fletcher....it is a Rocca boy. Sav used to tear him a new one everytime they played...and Anth is better than Sav one on one. The problem is Anthony will most likely have to play against Michael.

I don't think anyone in the AFL needed to watch last week's game to know that Rocca can't go with running defenders. While Fletcher has been freed up more this season with Michael's inclusion, I agree that Michael will probably take Rocca. If Dids, Leon & Daisy can crumb effectively then Fletch & Co can run all they like, but it will only be back to their opponents for the next centre square bounce.

If Rocca is being thrashed and his opponent is killing us, then we should bench him and put Maxwell or Goldsack down there. They are a chance to take a grab and add great defensive pressure in our forward line. Against the cats we had to stick with Rocca up forward because there was nobody to switch with him. The return of Presti (assuming he plays) should add a lot of flexibility to how we can structure our team. I wonder what the coaching staff have this in mind. One thing is for sure, Obrien, Presti, Goldsack, Maxwell and Wakelin cannot all play down back. It will be interesting to see where they all line up?

It is bad luck for Illes. He had a cracker against the saints and wasn't bad against the cats. Lonie will have to find touch quickly - lets hope the team structure and competition from other players helps us get the best out of Lonie.

The team looks good. Pace, size and a bit more experience. Wouldn't it be great to have Clement back in! I thought Richards did OK in his last few games - lets hope he can take his game to a higher level.

Still a potentially a lot of improvement. I can't wait for dids to recapture last years form. However, the question mark which will hang over us is whether the kids can keep up there great form. I think the new collingwood breed is made of tough stuff and all we can do is show how good we are week after week.

Its a massive game for us in the context of a top four position.
We drop this one and we find ourselves back in an awkward and shakey position. We cant afford another loss as it will just be a repeat of 2006 i fear.

I think its pretty obvious as to what Essendons strengths are. Llyod and Lucas. Negate these two blokes and you go a very long way to winning the match. I cant see Presti playing tommorow so i think that Wakes will get the nod for Llyod while Harry will try and back up his ANZAC day performance on Lucas.

Negating Fletcher is a must aswell. Last week we let blokes like Scarlett and Harley pick up far too many easy touches in the back half and letting them clear too easy. Fletcher is the king of rebound 50's and we have to make him think more about his opponent then getting a kick.

We cant afford to enter the forward 50 the way we did last week. Bombing to a pack isnt going to work in you favour especially when u got two quality defenders in Michael and Fletcher, they will kill you every time with the third man up.

Our midfield become very important and we have to give our forwards first use, because when they are on they are hard to stop, especially when you got Davis swooping on every crumb.

Playing disciplined, hard, accountable football, the thing thats gotten us this far should be the style to play. Get ontop early and drive it home.
