I'm just sucking it all in today, that was one of the great ones.
Isn't it just fantastic to have a couple of great wins with the best players consisting of names like Heath Shaw, Dane Swan, Hertier O'Brien, Dale Thomas, Scott Pendlebury, Shannon Cox, Toovey, Dick, Travis et al.
These kids have got me excited!

I fully support organ donation, because both Josh Fraser and Travis Cloke both need Heart transplants STAT!
Now, I'm not usually one to mercilessly bag players on these forums, but fair dinkum, I don't think that either one of them got a hard ball for the entire game. In fact, I witnessed them backing away from contests, not running for the ball and just general softness.
Quite frankly I'm staggered at the praise being heaped upon Travis' game yesterday. Sure, he got 13+ marks, but I put it to you that at least 12 of them were uncontested. And I shudder to think what percent his possession effectiveness was.
Yes, I appreciate that he is at least starting to recognise the Sherrin, but until he goes in hard, he's not doing his job.
And as for Josh, boy, he couldn't be at a bigger Crossroads if he had both Britney Spears and Ralph Macchio tagging along for the ride (movie joke).
What on Earth is going on with him? Is he simply afraid to attack the ball? And believe me, I like him, I really do, but unless he improves, surely his position in the club will be in jeopardy.
I really hate having to say all of that, especially after such a wonderful win, but it just totally got to me yesterday.

I have been a critic of Travis recently, however, apart from his bad goal kicking yesterday, I thought he did okay.
He presented, ran hard, and DID provide a content when Essendon was kicking out from half back. If you have seen a replay, you will note that Ch10 highlighted this as something that Travis was doing well.
As for Josh, I thought he started brilliantly, but he faded just as quickly. Not sure what is happening there. I hope he turns the corner quickly, and hopefully the first quarter was a sign of things to come. Though I do agree he attack on the ball atm isn't all that great.

Rudeboy......the game was successful due to the fact that there were 36 fellows on a park that fought for their own clubs.
Dont let those ignorant of the fact that it was the 92nd ann. of ANZAC Day..which incase you arent aware stands for Australian,New Zealand Army Corps.....so as we all fought together, dont let a few upset the day they arent worth it.
I am inclinded to agree that we shouldbnt be at war with anyone,BUT unfortunately again its all political.
I am a Nato,BUT dont talk alot about it.........

Trav did some great work running back with the flight of the ball to cut off the Essendon players leading, one of them directly set up a goal. He missed, the long kick in, Trav ran back with the flight of the ball, crashed the ball and got the ball to our player who ran in and set up the goal, also was constantly running back to HB and trying to get in the way of the leading forwards
But its alright, he is the last remaining Cloke, none of his brothers ever got praise from everyone and those same who never saw his brothers do anything good will be the same with him, its to be expected

Perhaps when I see the replay of it, a dispassionate viewing of it, rather than with the emotions of being at the game, my opinion of Travis' game may change. I listened to Triple M post game and was stunned when Trav got 2 BOG Votes.eddiesmith wrote:Well maybe you need to watch the game againDark Lord wrote:I fully support organ donation, because both Josh Fraser and Travis Cloke both need Heart transplants STAT!

I like them both, and I really want to be wrong on this one.

For the record, Trav got 3 contested marks, had 13/17 effective kicks (very good by his standards), and 10 inside 50s. Stray kicking aside, it was a great game for a 20 year old CHF in anyone's language. He worked hard and presented all day. When he didn't get it the first time, his second and third efforts were great.
Go Pies!!!

Good win.
Obviously the kicking for goal was disgraceful , bar the precise Didak.
Great to see the pressure applied and forcing errors.
H.Shaw was a worthy winner of the medal , while Fraser is struggling , his attack on the ball/contest isn't up to scratch.
