Leave our forward line as it is. What ever they are doing, it is working wonderfully.

As for poor old Jason, the hard facts are that there is no-one in our current back line you'd be justified in dropping to make room for Jason. It's true that in a couple of years we'll be without Wakes and possibly Presti, but that doesn't justify dropping them out of the side now to make way for Jason. He is simply not good enough to be in our best 22 at present. However, if any of our key back players were to lose form or get injured then he'd no doubt get promoted. For those who love Jason (I'm a big fan of his too), have to be realistic to understand that he is a victim of our current success, as much as anything else. We are 3rd on the ladder precisely because a number of very talented players cannot get in to the senior side. That's why our team is going so well.

You could easily justify dropping Hackwell for Jason after a few shit games but seems Mick is in love with Hackwell

started the week of a bit worried about tomorrow night but after watching the replay from last year where we beat them with half a side and my monthly viewing of 'Road to Victory' my confidence is sky high.

Hopefully Bucks plays up forward and kicks 8 on cameron 'ugliest man i have ever seen on a footy field' Ling.

I honestly belive that if we win this game we make top4.. although travelling to Adelaide or Perth in the first week is almost not worth it. History says we play well at aami though, and we would have learnt from our game against the weagels....getting ahead of myself again.

stop calling him hackwell grrrr......

I think he is one of our best defenders. So he had a bad game against the toast. I think he will bounce back. He is a good player IMO.

Surprised that Travis is'nt in the 22. Would have thought that with their 3 talls..king,Mooney & Ottens he would hav got a gernsey. Mooney & Ottens are pretty mobile as is Travis..Cameron not so.....the team will most likely change as it almost always does...

eddie, sometime i do not understand you...in another thread you are the advocate of "Big men take time to develop" and are praising Cameron Cloke. In this thread you are bagging young Maxwell who has shown a lot in his first few years of footy. Hard to can a guy who tries his heart out every week when your favourite player is Cameron Cloke.
There's more to life than footy.........just not much more.

My favourite aint Cam and it seems trying your heart out week in, week out aint enough if the Cloke boys are so often bagged on here. Hang on, I think you are trying to say Cam doesnt give his all every week? ****, next you will say jase doesnt either

Calling a player a complete hack who is not worthy of a spot in the team ever and should be delisted is alot different so saying a player has played a few bad games and should be dropped as any player out of form should be when you have a full list

Eddie mate i must say usually you are on the mark with your comments and analysis of the team, but i must say i completely disagree with your views on Maxwell. The kid has impressed me very much. His composure in the backline is impressive and he's not slow, while also being a decent height. Im surprised people are getting frustrated with him.

Perhaps you should watch his game a little more carefully as the season progresses.

I think what Eddie is saying is when a player is out of form meaning played poorly in a few games and people are playing well in the reserves than surely they deserve a shot. It gets on peoples nerves when people continually get over looked for no apparent reason especially when others aren't performing.

I know what he means, and i disagree, he hasn't played that poorly, and is a fantastic defender, i don't see a defender good enough to steal his position at the moment. Perhaps when one comes up. Maxwell will be replaced. But at the moment, our defence is doing the job. Lets not f*ck around with it just yet.

He plays tall and small, is quick, a good kick and confident, carries the ball and matches up on a lot of different types of oposition.]

Who do we think should be taking his spot?

Pendels could easily be the 4th defender playing a sweeping role across HB as he did in his 1st few weeks down at willy.

But I'm not overly fussed as long as the TEAM plays well, we win and we see a bit of biffo.

BTW Pies by 18 points.

How about Rhyce, not really the same size I guess but Rhyce can play defence and will have to get a game soon. If Maxwell doesn't perform this week, given the Bulldogs have a very short forward line perhaps Rhyce could be in line for a game. We beat Geelong last year with a much weaker team, no reason we cannot give em a pumping tonight and prove that we are real contenders - Pies by 37 points.
