So, just to be clear, are you saying youre not a big Tex Walker fan???eddiesmith wrote:Tex reminds me of a young Richo (but with talent) WTF is that? Tex is the biggest load of crap to pull on the Collingwood jumper. Richo is a gun, Walker will never, ever get near the levels of Richo, thats why Richo destroys him each time. Richo is a poor set shot, but he is a hell of lot better than Tex.
Look, I've never said I thought Tex was a gun, but he certainly could be with a lot of hard work and some good management from the coaching staff. As for Richo, I'm sorry if youre a fan, but I cant think of a more overrated player wearing boots. He is a selfish sook, interested only in personal glory. You wanna talk funny? What about Richo's 100m penalty. I damn near wet myself! What a shame Presty couldnt make it hurt!
If Tex ever behaves like that I'll be among those calling for his head. Traded players like Cara & Mumbles Morrison are senior players and expected to already be capable of playing at the highest level. Tex is a 20 year old kid. As I've just said, he hasnt yet convinced me he's up to the elite level, but he has a couple of seasons to do so.
Richo is a very good mark, and can kick some good goals, but so can a hundred others. Cant see him grabbing a brownlow anytime soon, can you? Granted he did well in 96 (or 95) & '02, with 16 & 12 respectively, but his '02 votes were ALL 3's against weak sides. What good is that? Scotty Cummings has a Coleman, where's Richo's?
He's BOG 3 or 4 times a year, and unsighted the rest of the time. Not a team player. Granted, untalented is too harsh a call, but just too inconsistent.
