I am not surprised by Harrison’s selection. Super quick and bursts free from the contest. Classy mover. Has a little extra something placing him ahead at this stage of McCrae, Bianco, Allan and others. He would of got a game last year if not for injuries and illness. Developing nicely. We have McCreery, Hill and Ginnivan up forward even with no Elliott so this is a good week to spice things up and inject a first gamer.

A few here have brought up last year's upset loss to the Eagles with the implication that it could happen again, but you can really see the difference here between their line-up then and now: no Kennedy (retired), Rioli (traded), Darling, Naitanui, McGovern or Ryan (all injured) this time around, among others. It particularly affects their forward line: at least 12 and as many as 13 of their 14 goals that evening were kicked by players who won't be there on Saturday.Take_a_Screamer wrote:We think we have injury problems? In a year of ever evolving feats, I'm still waiting for one of our forwards to go bunta and kick a bag.
Understandably, it's not the style that Macrae and messrs are coaching, but I'd like to at least see one match where someone straps on the nosebag. Given that this match is another bye, hopefully they let the reigns go.
Depending who Barass goes to, maybe Cox, that leaves Hurn to mind Mihocek. I reckon that'll be a breakeven result.
As a result, our swoop squad 2.0 could really have an afternoon / evening out.
If Harvery Harrisons middle name starts with a H, bring on HHH. Hopefully he develops a pedigree of signature moves like HHH did over his WWE career.

12 of the team we fielded that game will be playing this weekend.piffdog wrote:Pretty sure we were missing a couple key cogs last year - and it was at Marvel. Adams with covid and Jordy was suspended. We’re a much better team (that was 4 games into Fly’s tenure) and they’re arguably much worse.
Should win well.
Some of the names out from that horrible loss; Grundy, C.Brown, T.Wilson, Howe, Lippa, Magden, Henry, McIness, Elliot & Bianco
Don't count the days, make the days count.

Good point David. They are a much weaker team than they were last year and we are quite a bit stronger than we were then.I would be absolutely shocked if we saw a repeat of last year’s game.David wrote:A few here have brought up last year's upset loss to the Eagles with the implication that it could happen again, but you can really see the difference here between their line-up then and now: no Kennedy (retired), Rioli (traded), Darling, Naitanui, McGovern or Ryan (all injured) this time around, among others.
