I've always wondered that if the Bombers firmly believed they didn't do anything wrong, why did they self-report?

I think Crameri can be covered, while Prismall is only VFL listed

Massive news, may be the biggest in VFL / AFL history.
Jobe must now be stripped of the brownlow?

Oh, and sucked in St Kilda. Jake Carlisle, the gift that keeps giving.
All levels, otherwise we'd tee up local footy spots for Keeffe and Thomas.

The Transcript is damming of the players. It cites that they were all present for the ASADA Briefing on drugs in sport regulations in 2012 and signed their agreements. It was cited they were educated on how the onus is on players to know what is in their systems and that if anything banned is found it they the players who will be punished.
They were told that if you are unsure of any substance you have taken you MUST report it. No player did.
They were told to use the ASADA hotline if concerned or to even make inquiries. No player used it.
It also cites that on 30 different occasions in 2012 ASADA sent random drug chekers to Essendon players and that on every occasion, as part of the procedure, they were asked if they had been taking any supplements. On 30 occasions the players stated 'no'.

Main impact on our competition for the 8 is probably Port Adelaide losing Ryder and Monfries.
PORT ADELAIDE
Angus Monfries
Patrick Ryder
ST KILDA
Jake Carlisle (hasn't that trade worked out well for them!)
WESTERN BULLDOGS
Stewart Crameri
MELBOURNE
Jake Melksham
ESSENDON
Bellchambers, Colyer, Heppell, Hibberd, Hocking, Hooker, Howlett, Hurley, Myers, Stanton, Pears and Watson.
I reckon there may be a few early retirements and players seeking fresh starts at the end of 2016.

All of the 34 found guilty must sit out all levels of football for the period of the ban. That includes those now playing in the VFL, WAFL, SANFL, local leagues, etc and those now coaching (e.g. McVeigh assistant coach at GWS). None of them can officially participate in any form of footy at any level.

Aaagh don't we dismember Essendon only once this year?
The right thing finally has happened. All the other clubs are the winners as the club who wanted to take shortcuts that no other club was prepared to take has been made an example of. If anyone can find any sympathy for the Dons' players then surely you can find more for our two guys. Theirs was deliberate and our was inadvertent (but still silly).
Any sports person who has cheated, got caught and then blamed his doctor, coach, mum or manager are to blame for the strict rules that we now have.

Compare the attitude of the NRL club who accepted responsibility took some short term pain.
Essendon's management protected the brand & certain individuals at the players expense.
Hird is looking pathetic right now. To think he was given a million dollars to go away.
They did not have to take the Needles in a Very Dodgy Way. Dempsey and Zaharakis did not
