Very encouraging news regarding Mooney and Josh.
Seedsman, sounds like he was serviceable in a forgettable team effort and that is also encouraging.
Seriously would like to see more from Woods and Ceglar in the ruck, hope Witts is amongst it next week.
Paine coming along nicely just needs the arobic fitness and hardness of Arizona, a full pre-season and the miles into the legs.
Not much to write home about regarding the rest at this stage.

Our 2nd quarters are a real worry. I don't know if or what Lockyer and the coaching staff are doing about it, but every game we have lost is a game where we have lost the 2nd quarter. We tend to come out blazing in the 3rd term and early in the 4th quarters as well, using up all our petrol tickets in the process and thereby allowing the opposition to get up.Jezza wrote:At least we didn't get smashed. I've noticed like others, that our reserves side gets blown out of the water in the 2nd quarter in most matches, but they were able to hang in there.
However judging by the amount of behinds Coburg kicked, the final scoreline flattered us in the end.
Mooney's been playing awesome in the past few weeks. Would he be considered to come into the senior side this year if injuries worsened or is he still a fair way off?
By the way, fantastic updates MagpieBat. Love reading them every week when our reserves play.
Mooney is a WEAPON. His form is worthy of serious consideration for the seniors, in my opinion. Would love to see him debut against, say, Carlton or Hawthorn, or even against the Sleepy Hollow Geriatric Brigade, which he would burn into the ground with his explosive pace.
And Jezza, once again it is my pleasure.
Finally, Tarkyn Lockyer surveys his charges:
