Yeah, you'd hate to have Bryan in, what, with his horrible efforts last week.Dave The Man wrote:I think it's a Mistake to Leave Bryan in and Leaving Wood Out again against the West Coke Weagles
For now, he has something that Josh and Woody (yet) aren't able to provide.

For some strange reason I am more nervous about this game than last week's against Geelong. We had nothing to lose last week, and so much more to lose this week.
Adding to the anxiety would be the fact that Eagles/Pies games always seem to be close affairs - when was the last time one side smacked the other?
You just know that the Eagles would love nothing more than to upset the applecart by giving us a loss on our home turf, then pissing off back to WA to tank for the rest of the year! They would feel that they owe us one for the semi-final defeat last year, but we should stick it up them for nothing other than refusing to even consider the Pies as a trading option when the whole Chris Judd thing went down at the end of last year.
If our boys take the "hunters" mentality into the game, we should win. Underestimate the Eagles at your own peril...
Go Pies! Send 'em home sore and sorry!

Rocca didn't train today - not really worried though, cos most times he gets Glass and Glass keeps him pretty quiet. I hope we go short in the forward line, actually. Pretty sure that's what threw the Eagles last time we played them. I don't think they have a lot of shortish defenders. And good point about their mids whoever that was - Geelong had their best team in except for Ottens and Chapman, and we tore apart their midfield. I just hope the boys keep up the intensity of last week and don't get too far ahead of themselves. WCE are down for the moment - apart from a win last week - but I certainly do not believe they are out.

What's this talk about bringing Lonie in - don't get me wrong, I love the guy, and when he was up and firing boy did the champagne flow, but I fear his time is past.
What about Cooky? This kid did nothing wrong in his seniors appearance and was dropped because burns and rocca came back, he runs all day and tags well; and he's the perfect matchup for Pridis if you want to shut him down.
Lones was great, but his time has come and we should play the kids if we get the chance. If Leon is out (and I doubt he will be) Cook should get the gig and Thomas might not get a run with role (although I like him there at the moment). If both play mid, we have ample options for small forward roles.
In any event, I think we'll either with by 5 goals or lose by 5 goals, depending on which side shows up
C'mon Collingwood - let's be accountable for the rest of the year
GO PIES

As well as Bryan is going this season. Cam Wood may have been a bloody handy inclusion for this game. al though if we play like last week it won't matter. Josh is a great match up for cox anyways. Bryan to beat the living suitcase out of seaby the most overated second ruck in the comp.
Going to be as tough as ever. No let down from last week pies!!!

I'm happy with Bryan being left in the team (no offence to Wood). In the seconds he's been rucking, roving, dropping back to fill a hole and going forward to either be a nuisance or kick a couple. He's bigger than Wood (for now) and far more agressive. Woody is still a kid and still growing, he'll be right.
Regardless of any Wet Toast inclusions we can and will win. They were lucky last week, just look at the average (and lucky) performance of Adelaide last night.
It's not going to be (and never is) easy, but we can win this and will win this.
Let's shake the Ponsford again today, the atmosphere last week was electric and to those visiting from WA (for the Collingwood supporters) let's show them just how loud and proud the Black and White army are on any day but especially game day.

We'll know in the first five minutes whether we will win this. All in the body language I reckon.
Gigantic move in the right direction last weekend, just watched the game for the first time on DVD last night. That's possibly the best I've EVER seen us play and we should roll on from here. SHOULD roll on.
Pies by 50 (dry), Pies by 30 (wet).
