In 2007 they beat us by 5pt in the PF & by 15pt RD15!.... not too bad!
In 2006 we beat them by 102pt & 25pt in RD's 8 & 11!...... also not bad!
Let's hope the cats freeze under lights!!!

I not sure it's arrogance but Geelong haven't exactly been humble when talking of there recent exploits against Collingwood.
Mark Thompson's comments about them playing ordinary footy in the prelim last year is a bit sheltered and lacks class in my opinion. He gave no credit to the pies for their efforts.
The article in the Geelong advertiser about Rocca being Scarlett's bunny was pathetic. It was only a few years ago he was consistently getting his arse handed to him by one Chris Tarrant of all people.
I think Geelong have officially got ahead of themselves. They are a good team no doubt. 8-0 playing patchy footy is still 8-0.
Collingwood you have been given you all the ammo you need to fire this friday night. Play your guts out and you can beat them. They aren't that good. They just think they are right. No team is unbeatable and if anyone has the heart and team spirit to win it's you. GO PIES!!!

Geelong is winnng on confidence only. They are show ponies. I remember a few years back when Brisbane played them in the Preliminary final. It was ugly, Brisbane thumped at every chance and they started to look over their shoulder. In the end, as Brisbane used to do so well, they man handled them out of the game. Geelong are the same team. They need to be roughed up.

Couldn't drop Bryan on his form and his great efforts last week. Might have been tempted to drop someone and put Fraser in as a loose man back or taller forward, but what do I know.
As far as the cats are concerned - I agree, they're getting arrogant and sloppy, the question is whether we can capitalise on that and give them a bit of a wakeup call. We certainly have nothing to lose and everything to gain tonight, noone rates us a chance really. My only concern is that even players like Burns seem resigned to us losing, and if we go in thinking like that we're going to get what we expect.
Either way, I'll be there tonight, happy to show my support whether it's against Melbourne or Geelong, and going to enjoy watching us spank them!! Pies by 102.

I wanted Bryan out and Wood to stay in....but im not upset. As long as we get Josh back and keep the same team balance.
Wouldve been a huge mistake to play 3 rucks. And im more than happy for Bryan up against young West and Blake.
Bryan is not the sort of ruckman they will be used to. He is not technical. He runs in and looks like a fool but he has grunt. He did play well last week.
He could scare off Blake and West. Wood would've been more dominant in the hitouts...but with Geelongs fantastic onball division, his influence wouldve been tamed. Whereas Bryan can bang in and mix things up and hopefully create 1 or 2 goals from his efforts.
My worry is his laziness. He cannot afford any moments of complacency against the cats, as he did in the prelim last year on a few occassions when the pace of the cats caught him out.
Interesting to see Rocca named at CHF. I know it doesnt mean much, but i hope its a sign that MM will use Rocca up the ground for the reasons i stated earlier in this thread.

There's more to life than footy.........just not much more.
