Its not losing that people are upset about but the way we lost, I haven't seen us ever play that bad even in NAB cup you want to see something.
Granted we were ill and sapped but the skill errors for an AFL side was woeful, I still believe we are a top 8 side but F me that was a shocking game.

I know its only a practice match. Presumably someone has explained that to our ME sponsors. What fascinates me about the pre-season comp is first listening to all the leadup/build up over summer where players have operations, training camps are set up, everyone is apparently cherry ripe, fresh & super fit right up until they have to play. Then the wheels fall off. Apparently.

Ho hum. Roll on the H & A.

Insipid performance by all but a few. Not the end of the world by any stretch but geez it was awful in almost every way. Thank the gods there weren't any injuries.

Best news for the night? It seems Burns will be captain, and Rocca vice.

Last year these guys Skills where Fantatsic but Yesterday there skills went to hell espically when there kick went straight to crow players.

The worst thing about last night was that NAB ad!! If I want off key singing I can listen to the ten year old. OMG I thought my fillings were going to fall out .

Both didn't really play all that much time, and the whole team looked lethargic after a three week regime overseas. Don't look to much into it, I seem to remember being pumped by Nth Melb last year, then we beat them Rd1.

Both looked out of sorts. Been a hard few weeks for the boys and when you are fatigued skills go out the window.

Not sure whether we will see much improvement in the next game - still more travelling - but once they are back home in a regular routine and refreshed I'm sure things will pick up.

Brown and JA did okay - they are to guys who will need to prove themselves quickly with Clement gone.

One response to all this - it is the NAB Cup, we have a history of not performing this early in the year. Rhyce Shaw's kicking was bad, but it's not the end of the world. The guys were lethargic after being on a training camp for the past two - three weeks. Daisy was one of our best - what are you on? His only stuff up was that handpass. Maxwell was fantastic early.

Dave, lie down, and have a rest. Things will be okay.

Both are complete Duds and should be delisted immediately.

After all, Pendles averaging 19 possies a game and kicking 20 goals in his second year and Clarke changing the course of a game in a Prelim in his first, was no doubt a complete fluke.

I think a lot of it had to do with the pressure from the Crows players and the fact that a lot of our other players weren't playing the way they normally play. Pendles and Clark did hit their targets a lot more than some of players (when you put it to a ratio basis because neither played a lot of the game anyway). I think a lot of their errors were more forced errors rather than out and out skill errors.

Anyway I don't think we need to be reading a lot into it at this stage.
