What no R.Shaw or Presti? Shame about Ben Reid cause I would've liked to see him learn from playing a game with Rocca.

Presti was never going to play, R Shaw may return through Willy this week.

Changes are pretty much what I expected.

If Chris Bryan wants to extend his AFL career beyond this year, he needs to start showing something.

I just hope there are one or two late changes at the Cats - Charlie Gardiner is their equivalent to Ben Kinnear!

Oh ok I just finished watching CTV. Was Presti making a bad joke when he said Clem still about 4 weeks away?

Interesting: we have gone for height and strength, unavoidably at the expense of pace. It was an either/or, so I hope we have made the right decision. (Not criticising: on Saturday night we will be either saying "Malthouse is a genius, we were just too big and strong for them" or "Malthouse is a fool, we let them run over us". No way to tell which yet, just have to wait and see.

Chris Bryan, this is the match to hang your career on: you can cement your place with Collingwood this day, or start your progress towards a career in the VFL/SANFL/WAFL. Up to you.

Gonna be some hard decisions to be made at selection (again) but the way we're playing I'm quietly confident.

I'd like Reid to have another game with Pebbles back in the side. As third tall instead of focal point, he could really run around and get a taste. He could also spell Josh in the ruck for a few minutes here and there if Cox doesn't come up.

If Presti is fit, for mine, he comes back in. He may not be match fit but he could stay with either Nathan Ablett or Hawkins, neither of whom have big tanks. Harry O gets Johnson as he has the speed and also is good overhead. Then it's out of Wakes, Goldsack and Maxwell to play on Ottens and Mooney. I'd be inclined for Wakes on Ottens and either Maxy or the Sack for the big hairy pussy.

As others have said, the midfield is the key. Our backs work for each other regardless of what mix we have in and our forwards, with Pebbles back will have more rhythm.

Looking forward to the game.

It'll be like last week weather wise. Heavy wet conditions.
Endurance the key - Burns, Licuria, Locks, Thomas, Dids, Johno, Shaw, Swan, Leon, must find that extra bit of 'fitness' when they need it to get us over the line.

Gee it's going to get harder and harder to name a side each week from here in. How are we going to fit Clement, Buckley,Presti, Lonie, Holland
and R Shaw into this side. And thats without mentioning fringe players like Dick, Richards, Cox, Reid etc. Incredible position to be in with 8 weeks to go before finals.

I hear that gary ablett has not been able to train all week due to flu (no the real flu).
If he plays he may not be 100%.
