Well we haven't beaten anybody above us on the ladder.
The fact that we're in 3rd place might have something to do with that ;)

Changes for Bulldogs

Post by Dakstar »

After reading most posts here, it seems that most believe the changes will be:

In, Goldsack, Davis, Medhurst
Out: Dick, Wakes, ILES

Well I watched the CTV Show on our website & Dick was being interviewed & saying that he cant wait to play at the DOME for the first time!

Mick Malthouse has said that Medders will be 4 to 5 weeks away from his best, due to injury problems he has had.

So, I actually think the two changes will be:

Out: Wakelin,IlEs or Holland (looked slow & underdone last week)

In: Goldsack, Davis

I think Medders will come back via willy, as the pace of the game might be too much for him at this stage of his fitness...

We cant have Didak, Holland & Medders in the same team, as they are all underdone. If we play all three of them I believe we will be in trouble!
Some call him Dids or Didak, but he will always be a DAKSTAR!

If Didak is underdone, heaven help the rest of the competition ;)

Holland was named in the starting 18, so presumably he'll play. I guess it is a possibility that Medders might not pull up, in which case Dick could well play.

Which would make the changes:
In: Goldsack, Davis
Out: Wakelin, Iles

However, if Medders does pull out, it would seem to make more sense to retain Iles... so Goldsack replaces Wakelin, Davis replaces Dick.

Holland is a good matchup for West. He is not underdone at all, he is in peak condition. He would be the fittest guy on our list, and a tough game last week will have done him a lot of good. He is completely matchfit and will prove to all of you his worth very shortly.

If we are going to try and match the dogs in pace, then keep medhurst because a small leading forward is essential. He is a good mark and fantastic at getting onto a lead. If he is over his injury, bring him back, we gave up a lot to get him.

ins: Medhurst, Davis, Goldsack
outs: wakelin, dick, (sadly i think it might be isles)

The key to us winning this game is to stop Johnson,Darcy and Akermanis.
Thank's to that article that Robert walls wrote about how bad Aker is earlier this week, may be enough to inspire Aker to play well this week, especially against the Pies.
If we can stop these three players,we will win.
Pies by 20 points.

Yeah, he started the Carlton match pretty poorly, but I thought he picked his game up as the match went on.

This is the week we need to kick straight to win. The Dogs will maintain possession at every opportunity so if we get the ball in our forward 50 we need to score 6 points not 1.

With Davis and Goldsack coming in for Wakelin and Iles, I reckon this is the best side we've had all year. I'm expecting a big win.

This one is is personal. I have waited 8 months for revenge just like the brions game last year. Its an opportunity to remind these overrated fops that respect is earned, not conferred by Caroline, Jim, Mike, Richard, Wallsy and the rest of the commentariat.

I'm hoping for a massacre but I'll settle for Collingwood by 2 points
