I see plenty of things wrong with belting the opposition forwards in their forward line just lucky Maxwell didn't do that. And FYI it was Harry who gave the 50 away for asking "what was that for".
that's what the commentators said too...it was harry asking the question. Maxy's free against, but Harry's 50

Did anyone else see the home made banner hanging from level 3 after the siren? It was right above where we were sitting.

"Trade Rocca, He Cant Kick". It was something along those lines.

Collingwood supporters too.

Hehe... the guy was your typical hero too... screaming out at his fellow supporters, calling out all kinds of names at ppl... then he got 'invited' by this guy saying something like "i'll wait for you here"... but noone showed up.

Frustrating 1st half, we did lots of dumb things, wrong options, turnovers, and those behinds!

The 2nd half was mostly beautiful to watch. Just love the way we're playing at the moment. The contribution is so even, with everyone playing their part.

A few points:
- Maxy was definitely dumb to run into Fevola. Yes, Fev acted but it was still a free kick. By the way Fevola is a complete turd. A moron, a thug and a petulant sook when things aren't going his way.
- Nothing wrong with Iles's game today, he looks up to it, composed and competitive and delivery looks OK
- Josh is looking good after a couple of worrying games earlier in the year
- looking forward to a forward line with Medhurst, Davis, Rusling and possibly Bux to add to saturday's team.
Hearing the 'Black & White Army' roar is the greatest sound in the world.

Seems to me the best thing coming out of the past 2 weeks is Frasers form and body language, I can never understand people saying he is overated or should be traded. He is I think one of our top 5 critical players and a must if we are to win the flag.

Great win - bad kicking first half but 13.6 after half time was good.

I still think Pert should get Daicos in there as his first big 'deal' for the club under his leadership - if the best quarterbacks, pitchers, hitters etc., can all have coaches - we should definitely have a goal kicking coach.

2 big play highlights for me - Pendles to Josh to Daisy - goal and Dicks pass to Tarks was perfect and an absolute pearler.

Josh is now getting into stride and Bryan is miles better than Richards.

Cheesy had a great second half and Maxwell seems to have come of age and the backline is great, solid, tough and fast to rebound.

Presti was not great but helped a lot when he went into attack - good move MM.

Dutchie was way underdone.

Pendles and Daisy are absolutely stars in the making - poise and skills to burn.

Didiak is a star now and with Medhurst in it will be Xmas every weekend for the Pies midfielders.

Cloke is just starting to show how great he can be and Pebbles stood up when we really needed him.

The forward set up is only going to get better when Dawes plays - he is tough, hard and can really play CHF in a match winning way.

If we can recruit some young rucks at the end of this year - the dynasty will be starting.

Iles showed enough to play again and Toovey is very consistent (consistently good that is).

Great win over a side that is middle of the road and not spooners any more - quality opposition.

I can't believe i missed this game - Is it possible the excitement/drama/theatre increases EVERY week with each win! And I thought the RD1 win V Roos was a heart stopper!!!!
- V tigers was even better
- V dons after them looking dangerous in the first few minutes was MOST satisfying
- V crows away is never for the faint hearted i guess
- V boos on a perfect day for footy at the G,.... WITH the BIFF!!!!!!!

Can you wait for this Sunday afternoon????

My nephew who barracks for the Blues calls me at half time and says its a "Fevolution". I called him about 10 mins into the last quarter and said it's a "Travolution".

Harry wasn't actually on Fev for more than a couple of minutes and Fev actually kicked a goal during that time (free from Maxy).

Yep despite having his back to Maxwell he ran into Maxwell
Sorry of course because it was Maxwell it was Maxwells fault on the other hand if it be a Cloke, obviously on Trav these days as your other to partners have been dismissed it no doubt would have been Fevs fault.

Do not know where you saw the incident from but there was no way known that was a correct decision.
I wouldnt be defending a Cloke doing something so stupid, then again they wouldnt so not a concern

But just because it was Maxwell of course he did nothing wrong, never has done a thing wrong in his entire career has he? The perfect player, surely taken over Tarrants 600k and next year will take Bucks 900k and the captaincy as he is perfect

It may shock you to hear this but you cannot go and knock players over 30m off the ball when the ball is dead, especially not in the back.
Agree with ES. Totally stupid thing to do regardless of who was at fault. If you don't put yourself in the situation then Fev can't milk a very soft free kick. By the same token, Holland wasn't able to milk a free when he got a don't argue earlier in the game.

I actually thought our first half was pretty good and the only down side was that we were unable to put it on the score board. We were deffinately the team that looked more likely and that was borne out in the second half. If we had converted a couple of those early shots then the Blues wouldn't have gained so much momentum.

Also thought that we again got the rough end of the pineapple from the umps and it goes toward the Blues momentum. For example, if Maxy gets the blatantly obvious holding the man free kick then we don't have a boundary throw in, Holland doesn't get caught by Betts, no goal, no momentum!

Presti certainly did the main job, but I saw Harry convincingly beat Fev a number of times.

Finally I got to see us beat them

Post by FunkyPieMaster »

This is the third time I have travelled to Melbourne from Sydney to watch us play Carlton and it is the first time I have seen us beat them.
Needless to say I had a great afternoon, especially seeing Wakes get that goal in the last quarter.
77 000 plus fans, what a terrific crowd! Great to hear the noise echo when the Pies started surging.
I still reckon Rocca got that goal

We didn't get our 40 acres and a mule
But you're my piece of the rock
And I love you CC

A phrase that sums up Fevola's 2nd Half; "Where the Bloody Hell Are You?" ;)
"There's an old saying in Tennessee, I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee, that says, fool me once, shame on... shame on you. Fool me... you can't get fooled again." - Oscar Wilde
