The recently appointed Head of Development role at the pies was down to a final 2.

Josh Fraser and Matthew Egan.

They were extremely hard to split however Josh just got the nod as he has coached his own team over many years and this was the main variable that got him over the line.

Adam Shepard turned down multiple approaches from opposing AFL clubs over the last 12-18 months after he was stood down at the pies due to Covid.

There is some talk around the recruiting circles that he will either take over from Derek Hine whenever Derek want's to scale back OR Adam will move into more of the list management side of thing at the pies.

The assumption is he has a greater role in a sense promised at pie land.

Andrew McLeod and Tyson Edwards fell out over a blue their wife’s had and never spoke to each other for several years including the Crows premiership years. Leigh Matthews and Don Scott never got on when they played together at Hawthorn.
Brian Taylor and Tony Shaw had a blue in the Collingwood change rooms once. And of course in a Carlscum practice match, Cameron Cloke was kicked by an Irish recruit O’Halphen.

Which Collingwood tall defender met similarly tall but younger defender from another Melbourne club for dinner tonight?

Or could he be a forward like someone else in his family?

After a bit of digging, I’ve found the non-Pies player is under contract with their club for a few years. So it’s more than likely just two blokes having a steak.

There is a speculation that we are one of 6 AFL clubs interested in SA player
19 year old 191 cm Jacob Bauer who has notched up 15 goals in 5 games over in SANFL

I’ve held onto this one for a while because it is nothing but a rumour at this stage but since the source is good, I will go with it.
The Dogs are floating Ugle - Hagen and Collingwood amongst others, have asked questions.
Ugle -Hagen is contracted until the end of 2023 but neither party are happy with each other. The Dogs claim he doesn’t work hard enough and Ugle Hagen reckons he’s a scapegoat, so it’s not a hard contract to break if all can parties agree on a suitable trade. ( picks ? )
The Dogs have Bruce close to a return and 200cm pick #2 Sam Darcy has impressed on the track ( just started playing after an extended foot problem ) From 2023, Ugle - Hagen will be almost superfluous to their needs.
