All the best to all Nicksters tomorrow. Have a great day and with any luck we'll have a great game and hopefully Stevic will have no bearing on the match.
I'm hoping for a fairytale victory for the 'dogs. In my time across both AFL & NRL I've only seen one genuine example (Canberra Raiders 1989) so another would be nice.
Looking forward to the machinations of the post season
Cheers all,
MM

I'll be getting up... or staying up... at 3:30am to watch it.
Its been a friggin huge week at work, and im mighty glad its friday.
Really looking forward to a great GF. I had the same hopes last year and was bitterly disappointed by quarter time. I am a Priddis fan and I didnt want the Hawks to win 3 on the trot. So hopefully, we get a good game this time.
I will be going for the Swans however. I am a McGlynn fan, so I'll also be hoping he has a good match.

How glum will it be living in the western suburbs for the next few months if they get flogged??
Better glum than smug!
Torn, I don't want a plastic team to win, but then again, how much help have the doggies had?
I'll be watching but I honestly don't know who I'll be barracking for! My hubby is driving me nuts. And it's only been a couple of tshirts and banners he bought! He is actually leaving his workshop to come home and watch with me! But he says he won't watch the game! To nervous he says! But he never watches footy. He detests it! I yelled to him with less than a minute to go "aren't you going to come and watch your team make a grand final?" Nope. He was watching some World War Two doco!
I'll be happy if the game is World War Two epic!

Go rattle your tins to raise the funds for your fines you bunch of hacks!
The olds couldn't find a park when they went out for their weekly grocery shop, the asshats hogged all the supermarket parking spots, bastards!
Thefootscray parking inspectors are second to none! There must be dozens of them! I got booked outside Footscray private oncology because my ticket was bought from the machine across the road, not the side of the street I was on! The one my side wasn't working, so I walked across the street. I got it over turned after I wrote a really lovely emotional pain filled rant and I even sent them an invoice for my time! They didn't pay it but I didn't have to pay either!
I get that hospital visitors make the situation hard, but there should be free or seperate parking for oncology patients. They are going through enough already without paying another $6 for parking. (2 hours in case appointments are late). Hell the place I get my knees injected gives me a thing so parking is free.
I can't come out and barrack for the swans, but I'm not really keen on a bulldog win! I did put a new doggie hat on my mums grave though. That's the best I can do!

Just remember, every goal kicked by Footscray will be bought with Collingwood's money.

So excited - Go Doggies
Hopefully it will be a little bit slippery negating the Buddy Tippett Richards impact.
Norm Smith: Tommy Boyd is a star, beautiful clean hands down low and knows where to be, 180-1 must be nibbled.
Caleb Daniel had a super 2nd half and has to be backed at 55-1
All the money coming for Libba who was way over the odds at 30-1
Heeney at 18-1

Please explain this to me further.
I need some ammunition today.
I am heading out into the abyss of the western suburbs.
God have mercy on my soul...

This is difficult to predict, so hoping for a close match.

ON the basis of the most pro dogs bias in the media I have ever seen, incredibly one sided bias, and the fact that the utter flog Darcy said he cant wait to hold the Cup post game, I hope the swans tear Bambi a new one and bolt it in, top team playing 7th, and it sorts itself out on GF Day. Swans by 31 points, running away.

I don't mind the Bulldogs, but the wankfest surrounding them has become nauseating.
They're setting themselves up for huge disappointment if they don't win today after the hype they've received all week. I've almost forgotten that Sydney is also playing in the Grand Final.

I reckon the Swans will win.
But I would like the Dogs to get home.
It will then be woof woof night in the western burbs.

Agree, the hype may well get them, they are too cocky by far, the swans just waiting and seething with revenge, for 2014, they will come out and bolt away hard, it reminds me of 1980 so much.

I always enjoy the pre game stuff. Feels different his year for whatever reason.
Motorcade felt rushed. Perhaps the crowd just wasnt into it. Also a lil disappointed that Swanny wasnt there. Previous years they made a bigger deal of retiring players, showing images of their career whilst they drove around. This year they were quickly calling out the names before they were even on the turf. Then Mike Brady sang his tribute to the players. I dont know, it didnt have that GF day feel to it.
Vance Joy can sing live thats for sure. Living End on atm.
Maybe its cos Im watching from over seas, but it just feels different. Lack of crowd interest maybe?
All this was better than 2011 though, with Meatloaf. I got to see that one live at the ground....
