Also, Dawes spent all last year on the sidelines with his knee and only played i think 2 VFL games...so perhaps we are taking a cautious approach with him until he has some game time at VFL level. Maybe if we get knocked out of the NAB cup he will play some practice matches.

We should however get our first opportunity to see Anthony and Wood in Collingwood colours, and the first chance in a while to see Nathan Brown
Lol if we lose and Dawes plays in a praccy match with no way of us seeing him in action I'll spit it, I really hope we win.

BTW Wello, Wood and Mcarthy have been cut from the 31 man squad.

I hear that it is Wood, McCarthy and Wellingham are the 3 to be cut from the squad.

Spewing, these are the 3 blokes I am dying to see strut their stuff.
How would Siri know when to answer "Hey Siri" unless it is listening in to everything you say?

EDIT: Beat me to it... great minds...

And no Rusling either?
Dawes had minor surgery post season 2007, so he's only recently begun full training again. He should be ready to rumble in a months time.

Not sure about Rusling, but the club is probably wrapping him in cotton wool due to his previous track record of getting injured just prior to the start of the season.

Dawes is apparently pretty cut about missing out, so a Hawks supporter has posted on the BF pies board (probably a mate of his or bs).

Are you 100% sure?
2 more players will get cut before the game which will take the bench to 8 so that would account for them.
