5 wins, 5.5 wins, 22 points, 22 points, 24 points.......

None of it matters anyway.

We'll finish the year with 32 points. 8)

DaVe86, a very succinct summation.

And might I add that Windscreens O'Brien played very well, too. He's going to be a fantastic player for us in the coming years.

In many ways a perfect result.
Woey and Obree showed enough to get us Rd 2 picks in the trade
Fanning, H.Shaw,Obrien played well
Egan put his body on the line
Cloke was great
We still have a chance at two first round picks.
Played with a heap of injuries!

Not sure when the PP came into play but

1998 Brisbane 22 points, no PP

2002 St Kilda 22 points, no PP

Just because Gary Lyon is an idiot, dont believe what he says. 22 points means no PP

Fantastic effort by all. I can cope with a lose when they have a go, tackle hard & give it their all. Which is what they did today. Right from the word go, they tackled hard, having Bucks in the forward line added the extra benefit of extra pressure on them clearing it out of defence. For our kids to see Bucks taking someone down inside our 50 is a lesson you can't buy.

Fanning was great today, like so many others I felt in the past he is handy, but not up to AFL level. Today he showed he is. Backing himself, including a gutsy mark going against the flight, well down.

Maxwell was also great. Get off the kids back, he has been fantastic for us & provided plenty of targets today. Sure conversion could have been better, but that will come with time.

Harry is exciting to watch, to hear the crowd roar for his first goal. Great sign of things to come.

Woey was great. I still have one key issue with his game & that is the speed he gets it out of defence. So sssslllloooowww & indirect. When we get the ball moving fast we are dangerous.

JClo, showed enuff for me to say keep him. He always tries hard. Sure he makes a mistake here & there, but his efforts & pressure causes opposition to do the same. Impressive effort in the ruck, took some pressure of Fanning.

Bucks was great in the forward line, but still think he wants to try more back on the ball.

Borderline players today...

Egan- provided a great run & looks good when he gets the ball, but tries to do too much & has a touch of the Leon's about him. (showboats)

Carrots- Good come back game. (First game back in around 5+ weeks). Sure he may have been named in prevous weeks, but he sure as hell didn't play!! Did well today, lead well & converted well.

O'Bree- While he racked up the possession he just lacks the speed & heart that some of the other guys seem to show. A couple of times there he had an opponent running off & he didn't even get close to chasing them down. Others (i.e JClo) kept running & applied pressure to cause turnovers.

Leon- Great at times, but for %$^ sake pass it inside 50 for once!!

Now for the negatives....

Tarks- What has happened here. I was a fan before this year, but he seems to be lost. A number of unforced errors & bad passes.

C3- Off game, struggled to get the ball, a couple of good leads, but didn't pick up the ball off the ground once. Is he still injured?

overal great effort, good to see the pressure being applied, with a full squad next year & playing like that we will push anyone...

wheres your facts from eddiesmith because i believe the saints did get PP that year and wasnt it Riewoldt and Koschitzke or was that 2001. Im pretty sure it was riewoldt and kosi that year.

Dark Lord, O'Brien was awesome today. Although he may have only got 12 touches... a few things impressed me.

1 was that his opponent never beat him and O'Brien was able to go forward and score a goal as well as have a shot on another

Another was that he is so cool under pressure and has time. Never panicked

thirdly, he didnt miss a target today

Fourthly was the fact that he has a similar frame to Adam Goodes and he is so versatile, i can see him in a number of positions

Finally, i do not think he has a very long kick from what i saw from his 50 metre shot on goal. Perhaps he can work on his set shot kicking. However a fine goal where he broke the line, ran inside 50 and kicked truly was the highlight of my day. Fantastic effort and broke a heavy flood easily.

My mistake, Kosi and Riewoldt were priority picks in 2000.

Well I must say when that siren sounded I screamed......hate the roos.
But the young kids played well which is a promising thing for our future.
All the best to Dids hope everything is okay.
Hope the Saints smack the Roos next week cos I still think the Roos are pretenders and dont deserve to be where they are on the ladder.
Enough about other teams a good hard effort today Pies from a team with so many out with injury and some good signs shown with our new young guns.
Roll on 2006 lets rip the afl apart.
Black and white forever.
