Jack Ginni says hello, and its not just one game, its consistent shit decisons against us, time after time, many games, Like how bout that thug Dixons full on charge last week on Bianco, and Dixons push in back against Moore, bugger me, he pushed Moore a country mile, right in back, NO free too Moore, commentators shook their heads, dismayed it was missed, you need to open you eyes more, id say.

You wanna see bad biased umpiring? Go back in time and watch my boys u14 game today in Benalla, normally I don’t care but today they dead set cheated , was 10 times worse than when Fitzroy got rolled by the crows, I’m normally pretty quiet and even I yelled out more than once “why don’t you kick it for em you fkn maggot”.
Watched the replay quite a few times now listening to alternative commentary (that’s worth a seperate thread…).
At the game I thought the umpiring was rubbish, but after watching thought it was actually not too bad. Yes we got stiffed occasionally, but so did they I think. Couple of Elliotts frees for HTB which lead to goals were very sharp and on other occasions wouldn’t have been paid. There was a blatant Clayton Oliver throw in 4q out of a pack above his head which wasn’t paid, there was also an incorrect disposal paid to Petracca in 4q which was probably a bit stiff. There was quite a few let go (compared to previous weeks) at the margins and I think the game was better for it.
Actually looked to me like finals-type umpiring where they tend to let things go on a bit more rather than paying every little ticky touchwood free they think they see. They blow the whistle more in the spirit of what’s going on and therefore a good chase down tackle might win a free even if a half handball is given or a hand drifts up over the shoulder.
Glad they got the push in the pack to Johnson right though!

Exactly, a lot of people would be helped watching the replay and getting away from the emotion.piffdog wrote:Watched the replay quite a few times now listening to alternative commentary (that’s worth a seperate thread…).

All I care about is consistency and not missing anything major, they ticked both boxes on Friday night.scoobydoo wrote:Just because you think the umps made mistakes for Both teams, doesn’t mean it was good umpiring. I agree. At the game I was livid at the umps up to 3 qtr time. But after watching the replay, I felt it had balanced out by the end of the game. A few throws missed, and a few fast decisions, but overall way better umpiring than what we'd had to endure the previous 8 weeks or so...piffdog wrote:Watched the replay quite a few times now listening to alternative commentary (that’s worth a seperate thread…).

They are not Eddie doing local comp, they are full time well paid and they should be better. How many winners have been chosen by umpires over the years? Far too many. The amount may be equal, but if theirs are in front of goal and yours are half back flank, theirs are worth twice yours at least
Ginnie should have got a free, even if he put it on a bit. Daicos reacted last week, it was a free before the siren, they got a goal and then he was fined, yet our players can have the ball thrown at them and then be knocked to the ground? Bullshit
You cant fix stupid, turns out you cant quarantine it either!

Worst AFL umpires currently
Which currentl umpire in the AFL that you just dread to see umpiring Collingwood games and you know it’s going to be one of those days
Eleni Glouftsis Is one she’s nice and all but really can not umpire but are there any others
