The Dow got smashed last night, so will be interesting to see how far the asx follows.

Well it turned to faeces of course when i got involved, but as a noob at this stuff at this stage I'm going to sit for a little while. Which is probably the dumb thing to do [and goes against what i've read and understand] as it can fall a fair bit more. However my investment is not very heavy so I guess I might use it as a bit of an experiment. In all sincerity, what do you suggest?
Get back on top.

Haven't had a real good look at them, I will though.
Their dividend history is pretty healthy, but there was that big drop in earnings at the start of this CY (has bounced a bit since).
I'll have a good look at them this week.
I was just wondering if they were suggested to you, and why.

Had a bit more of a look. A lot of restructuring going on there, for the better I think. No dividend this half, which is part of their plan to build back up again after a couple of adjustments.Cam wrote:Well it turned to faeces of course when i got involved, but as a noob at this stuff at this stage I'm going to sit for a little while. I reckon you'll see some steady growth, especially with a new FY right on our doorstep.

NST, the buy in was around 8c from memory. Their price today is $9.46 and they are one of the biggest gold miners in Australia.
Well, these sort of shares don't come around every day, but, there's a sneaky one called Walkabout (WKT) that the tom toms tell me are going to head north a loooong way.
Priced at 30c today
Another real smokey, and I'm not jumping in too heavy on this one, is PMY. At a measly 0.6c there's a chance to make a quick buck here

Not a bad buy Cam. Mining is going nuts over here at the moment and plenty of big exploration budgets will be announced for next FY. Ausdrill are amongst that too.Cam wrote:Got into ASL a couple of days ago on the strength of being undervalued and the announcement of their 5 year deal in Botswana. They are currently on the way up.
ECX nice 5% bounce today and WKT hits a new high today too.
*Look at NST will ya $11.42, to think I had 120,000 of those at one stage, some bought for as little as 1.25c (10,000) My highest get on those was the last 15,000 - sold them for $1.41.
My biggest idiot moment with them was, I sold 10,000 @ 37c to buy an old Fairlane... sold it last year for a bag of weed.
Now.... for a same game multi for this weekend
