Now I think back, I doubt my parents could have afforded it, mum had just got a loan to buy a milk bar and dad drank most of his pay and dealt with debt collectors with his shotguns and dogs.think positive wrote:ditto, mine was second hand, came with a can of paint!!!Dark Beanie wrote:We only had 2nd bikes growing up.

I reckon my Grandfather bought it. He had a little coin and I was the one to take his family name onward as the only grandchild that carried his name.

I was never allowed one. My older brother got hit by a drunk (Son of wealthy well known national business owner) and at 14 was hit by a car hitting by brother at night after he left school at night in winter.stui magpie wrote:Now I think back, I doubt my parents could have afforded it, mum had just got a loan to buy a milk bar and dad drank most of his pay and dealt with debt collectors with his shotguns and dogs.think positive wrote:ditto, mine was second hand, came with a can of paint!!!Dark Beanie wrote:We only had 2nd bikes growing up.

The primary school was about 1km, I had to get myself there as mum and dad left for work earlier. My grandparents lived across the road from the school so no wagging for me either and lunch with them every day.

^ Dickheads will be dickheads.
Today I rang up the work IT department as I couldn't get email on the pos iPhone I was given. Explained the issue, the IT guy asked for a minute, took 90 seconds, and fixed it remotely. I just gave this guy my name, that was it. I didn't have to do anything on the phone to give him permission, he just fixed it.
Told me to wait an hour then do the old turn off and turn on again, and it worked.

Didn't go for a walk this morning, had a day off.
Been busy on video meetings all day, I just checked the step counter on my phone.
I've covered a grand total of 800 steps so far today. That's basically walking from my desk to the kitchen and back to top up water.

The notorious Justice Vasta being taken to court. He’s a shocker to say the very least and let’s hope he’s found guilty

Background Briefing has a programme on him (more or less) which is gob smacking when exposing his behaviour.

It's a shocker of a story. But the elephant in the room here is: how can our prison system be so inhumane that anyone could be treated like this, guilty or innocent? It's not the $#%^ing dark ages. Reform is needed urgently.watt price tully wrote:The notorious Justice Vasta being taken to court. He’s a shocker to say the very least and let’s hope he’s found guilty
