2024 Mark of the Year winner - Bobby Hill

Post by Jezza »

Hill's mark was great, but Elliott's should be Mark of the Year without doubt.

The club put up their top 6 marks for the year so far on their social accounts.

WHE took a very good mark which has been forgotten about. Howes grab against the Dees didnt make the top 6.

But there's been some great Collingwood marks this year.

Wouldn't it be something if Jamie could win Mark and Goal of the year in the same season. Might just get a nomination for goal of the year this week, after that spoil, gather, and goal.

Still think Elliott's mark was better, but I'm happy for Bobby.

Mixed emotions. I'm just glad, really glad, that the North guy didnt win. When I saw Howey presenting, I knew it was gonna be a Pie. But I could feel the entire nation screaming at their TV's for the North guy to get up.

I do believe that Jamies mark should have been MOTY, but I am also thrilled that Bobby has won it. (Jamie won the award previously too). Now if I really get my way, Howe wins it next year, and WHE the year after.

As far as the GOTY, that was crap. And again, I could just feel everyones enjoyment when Nick missed out. And when I saw Judd presenting, I thought Reid has it. I actually thought Treloars goal should have been in the final three. And I thought Nicks goal against the Suns was the best of the final 3.

So yeah, thrilled Bobby won the mark, but a bit peeved that Nick missed out on the goal, and somewhat bemused that Jamie didnt get the mark.

Congratulations Bobby on achieving Mark of the Year - Without any qualification.
It was a great mark and a worthy winner.

Both great marks.
Jamie got nothing from McKay who just crumpled beneath him. If he could’ve just stayed upright or mustered a little effort - Jamie would’ve got the extra pop. Kudos to Frampton - team effort. McKay is the only one who should walk away disappointed. Go Pies!

So many better goals didn’t even get nominated. Bont’s round 20 goal where he shrugged several tackles, spun around, and nailed it — miles better than Reid. Reminds of Jaicos missing out, and TV only showing the last part of it
